Update - 6/15/2013
I have been so busy the last two years that the TL has become has been the last thing on my priority list. 72 credits completed with a 3.8 GPA all the while working the last two years as ripped me a new one. Enough about me though...
I can't remember everything off the top of my head, but I have added slotted Stoptech rotors and pads, got a custom Magnaflow exhaust (which I no longer have), painted the front bumper, OEM 07-08 Base tails, and added some William and Mary touches. Excuse the horrible camera skills, all I have is a point and shoot camera at the moment.
Shout out to Guitarplayer16 for this picture:
Things to come: Sometime this week I will be restoring my headlights and applying UV protection to them them. (Thank you Rockstar143, and anthracitecl for all your advice on the genius method that's going to make them look practically new again).
My brake calipers also need to be painted. I love the color combos some of you guys are running, but I have yet to see someone run a color on a silver TL that has caught my attention. I feel like silver on silver would be overkill, so I might stay with black. Any colors you guys recommend for my car? I'm open to anything except for red.
Here is a picture to show the chipping paint:
Excuse the insane amount of tire shine. Was not applied by me. It literally hurt my eyes looking at my tires.

Damn, I can't remember the last time I saw you on Acurazine
Congrats on doing so well in school! That's great
As for the calipers, I think black would look best on your car. Clean, classy, and nothing crazy.

I think I'm going to do black also. Looks very clean in my opinion.
07/08 base tails on SSM is definitely a win.
It's held up perfect. Just do a good job installing it and you will never have to worry about it. Not a single blemish on the tint after all these years.
Mike, what have you been up to buddy? I noticed the sick wheels you got a while back. You're doing it big these days. Are you still driving the TL a lot for work?
Thanks Steven. I'm only trying to keep up with yours.

I haven't kept up with this thread over the years, but I thought I would finally post an update:
I got the TL as a 16 year old and it got me through high school, college, and it has been serving me extremely well commuting to my grown up job for the past 5 months. The TL is just about to hit the 200k mark though and mechanically is definitely starting to show its age. So I was stuck choosing between driving it and only doing minimum maintenance until it completely died, or restoring it. Needless to say, I just the ladder.
Although I started at a pretty decent salary right out of college I wasn't comfortable dumping thousands of dollars into the TL, so I applied for a weekend one day a week cashier position at a Honda dealership. Thanks to this job I have been able to buy all the parts that I've wanted to change on the TL without spending a dime from the money I make at my 9-5. I also get a discount on all Honda/Acura/Chevrolet/Lexus parts.
Here are all of the parts sitting in my room as we speak:
Install date will be on November 14th. Afterwards I will post an Excel sheet with all the parts I bought, their prices, etc. I am basically doing everything Deathmetal did to his TL in this thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...d-178k-933976/. I have some additional items on my list though that were not on his.
Stay tuned! I will be sure to post plenty of pictures during the installation process.
