Reasons Why I'm Saying NO To The New Type-S

The gas mileage of that bigger engine is a no-go too! Anything less than 30 MPG highway just doesn't cut it in today's world, especially when you have to buy premium. Acura needs to step up to the plate and make the TLX and the RDX available in hybrid versions, like Honda and the rest of the competition. Another thing that's a no-go for me about the new Type-S is they require you have A-Spec whether you want it or not and NO Advance package. No heads-up display either like the RDX or the Touring Accord! Therefore, I don't think they're gonna sell as many of these Type-S's as they think. Furthermore, the extreme limitations of color combos you can order is another blemish on the face of the Type-S, not to mention the current TLX. When my TL was new, the combinations you could order were almost endless. I had actually considered and was looking forward to the new Type-S prior to its coming out, but Acura's limitations on the way you have to have it knock it out of the box for me, especially with the $$$$$ they're asking for it. Apparently, Acura still thinks their shit doesn't stink and they're gonna make it on their name.

My 2¢

Sounds like another makes/model may be your calling. No shame in moving to a brand whose product better suits your preferences. Keep us posted on your next move.
