By hand, no way. You gotta be hitting the juice too then.

Your text must have come right as we started and I didn't hear it, but when I saw it, Steven was long gone.

^^^ Very true-if Momma is happy, EVERYBODY is happy!

It only took us an hour to do it, and we went slow (including brake touch-ups). Then we contemplated the Carbon Fiber roof too.....then gone!

In this job market, if the offer looks like it could open more doors, I wouldnt hesitate to take it.

Everyone else - Talk among yourselves

Swoosh - Im assuming youre contracted at the moment? For the past 5.5years Ive gone back and forth between contract work and full time. Im back to full time and dont ever want to change it. When I was contracted, I was making about $4 more per hour then I am now. But being full time, I actually make more in the long run.

The biggest thing, for me, is growth. Does it look like a promotion is possible with the current job? What sort of growth can you have going to the new company? Ill gladly suffer now just to have the chance to do much more in 5 years.

/off topic, sorry Steven

well in my line of work,

full time = full pay...whether slow or quick or overtime....you get whats on your offer letter....(imagine 30/hr pay + 5/hr benefits)
contracting (what i do now) = full pay as well....and no overtime....even if am on the bench (they call it the beach) i get full pay....pays a little more than full time but you gotta travel.....(imagine 35/hr pay + 5/hr benefits)
individual contracting = more pay....you get paid a lot more but no benefits and bench means no pay....but when you are working you get paid overtime + paid more....(imagine 45-50/hr pay + 0/hr benefits)

i used to be an individual consultant a while back and used to make $$$ for 10 months and the other 2 were on the bench without pay, worried, stressed, etc....and now am contracting and kinda break even with the consulting as am making $$$ 12 months....

am still on visa and hence contracting but once i get my GC, individual contracting here I come

Ahhh, I see. My experiences have been a bit different.

Full time - Im salaried with OT. Unfortunately, that OT isnt based on an 8hr day, its only for hours worked after 40. Ill use Monday-Tuesday of this week as an example. I worked 27hrs straight. None of that was OT Has benefits (health, 401k, etc) and travel mileage.

Contract Work - Paid more, still OT if I work over 40, but no guaranteed hours. No benefits. No travel mileage (unless claimed on taxes, which is a PITA).

I dont work on a dedicated account, if thats what you mean. My company has service contracts with many companies, so I work on whatever they have in the area. I've been doing it for over 5 years and, aside from the amount of driving involved, I love it.

Nice work Steven and the gang. Ever thought if you redo the calipers to go with G2 caliper paint? I used red on my WRX to match the upgraded calipers I had on the front and it lasted with no chipping or fading. I just did my TL brakes in black and it came out really nice. No clear coat needed at all either. It gets painted on, takes a little time, but the results are amazing.

Thanks Machine! We do need to re-do the calipers. When they were finished, we sprayed Brake Cleaner on the newly painted calipers and some of the paint ran. So the need a respray. G2 sounds like a better fix!

Thank you!

No problem, it's about $35, but WELL worth it! Check ebay, that's where I ordered mine and got free shipping too. You will love the end result! You can paint it on or if you have a spray gun you can use that too. Here is a video straight from the company itself:

Hey Steven, I just made this thread about fitting a base front lip onto the Type-S bumper.

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...1#post13806892

Hopefully yours gets properly A-spec'ed soon!

Well guys-I finally did it!

All of you have after me for 4 years, so I finally pulled the trigger.
And KJ-you helped me decide! Since you were able to successfully install a Base TL Aspec Lip on your Type S, I've ordered the same thing for my Type S. I ordered the front lip and side skirts from Tim at OEM Acura Parts. But he didn't have a rear lip. I found ONE-the only one left (in ASM) in the entire country-at DelRay Acura! It is being shipped today.

So thank you KJ for helping me decide on an Aspec Kit that I will truly enjoy.
