After 8-1/2 years, I actually have a mod update for the Type S!

I like the stuff, Aaron. I actually wish it was a little deeper though.
Like I said yesterday, it seems like the shine on the front rubber wears faster than the rear rubber. I've always been a fan of the "just rolled off the dealership" look, when it comes to tires.

Guys, I think I've come to a conclusion about this Permanent Tire Shine.
First, the stuff is good. It has a good, clean look. I actually think the look of the tires is better.
With that being said, I have re-applied the solution....twice. I could keep taking pictures of the tires, but they would all look the same-which is what they're supposed to do.
I like my tires deep black-just like they came off the dealership lot. The permanent tire shine gives more of a matte finish, not a gloss finish (in my view). There is nothing wrong with that either. Many people like the non-shiny look.
Maybe it is shiny, but I think I would like a shinier look than this offers.

Fine Steven, I get it. If you insist, you can send me the rest of that stuff, and you can go back to the shiny stuff. Pm me for shipping address, I kind of like the matte black look myself

I like the matte black as well
Steven whatever we do, wouldn't the shiney look fade away after a while?
or let me say faster than a matte look?

Guys, I appreciate your replies. I don't know....maybe I didn't do it right. But it looks fine for a matte finish. And, there is no residual rub-off on your fingers when you swipe the tires.
Swoosh suggested I try some other tire black on top of the Permanent Tire Shine for a glossier finish.

^^^ I'm not sure John. There's not a lot of instructions on or in the box. I might give that a try though-couldn't hurt.

Steve, this is what I would try:
make a 2:1 ratio of the permanent tire shine and Blackfire Deep Gloss Tire shine and clean the tires as you did when you applied this for the first time and then apply this mixture....
i like the permanent tire shine as it gives the tire a "clean look" but I know you like the "rubber" wet and hence try the mixture just to see how it looks and last

^^^ Thank you!
I've got to tell you guys that this stuff has ZERO splatter. I just cleaned off the car after it rained a few days ago. Most of the time, I'm wiping off black stuff from the side of the car and the fringe of the wheel wells.
The Permanent Tire Shine has no splatter whatsoever. That was a very pleasant surprise. Even though it's not as black as I would like, I thought you would like to know about the not splatter.

I might try it completely over again on Sunday. I've got 2 hockey games to work (Friday and Saturday nights), plus I'll be on the radio all day Saturday. So Sunday will be the first chance I'll have.

Agreed Jeremy! I poured here last night. I'm interested to see what the tires look like this morning after driving through the rain yesterday.
