they have a high failure rate. i have the orion v2 model and they started crapping out at about 6 months in.
i'm getting them repaired in a few weeks however, because they do look so nice when they work properly.
here are a few crappy pics of when they were operable.

I think halos can add both style and personality to a car but most CCFL halos don't generally have a long service life. I've recently (1 year or so) began installing the LED halos and although they do not produce a solid, uninterrupted ring of light they can get very close to CCFLs in appearance but outlast them by a LONG time. Most installers/retrofitters like myself place the inverters unmounted inside the body of the headlamp assembly wrapped in foam so that when they do fail, they're easily replaceable.
As mentioned above OP, halos look MUCH better with no contrast brought on by other surrounding lights and if you can, keep them the same color temperature. Looks good though!

Thank you everyone for the complements! The ones I have are LEDs and I heard they last longer than other types.
I ordered switchbacks from ebay that supposedly fitted my model TL and yet they didn't so if anyone has any good reliable source for selling switchbacks then ill be interested.
Also, the wheels I have are Enkei Raijins. they're 18x8 with gunmetal paint.

Not bad. Hopefully they'll last. I've seen a lot of these setups fail.

I personally like the halo eye look, I think the can TL pull it off, I'm considering doing too but if they only last about 6 months I dunno if it really worth it. Does anyone know if they are hard to install, I mean I've took my headlights off before just to switch blubs but is this kinda hard to do lol? Thanks.

It's all about standing out
Well just make sure you get the LED halos and not the Orion V2 and you should be fine. However, installing halos cannot even be compared to changing your bulbs. lol. it takes many hours of baking your headlight housings in the oven and prying back the plastic to remove the clear lens. I suggest having them professionally made and installed by someone with experience with halos.
And obviously I'm going to say the halos are worth it because I just got them lol. I've already gotten tons of complements and people saying they've recognized my car on the road. And to be honest, that's what I'm after. I just want to be different and be able to look at every other TL on the road and say I think mine is better haha.
