ABP with no wax traps on trunk ***NBJS***

Note:

Due to puffy lumpers, bland gray rental car interior, and no stinkin' badges, this is a Non-BoltJames Safe posting!

I had to wax my car again thanks to local road construction and fresh road oil. I spent a bunch of time last night with my trusty old Turtle Wax Bug & Tar Remover, and followed it with a fresh coat of Meguiar's Gold Class wax. As I was doing that, it occurred to me that the rear badges were really annoying in their ability to trap wax in unbuffable crevices, so today I removed them.

For those of you who are wondering how ABP looks without badges, here you go.

Boltjames, this is your final warning! Don't scroll down!

Looks great. Did you just use the floss method for debadge? Is there any notice of
it close-up? I'd like to do this, but am a little nervous it could scratch or have a problem and make it look worse, so any advice is appreciated.

If you put the rear of your car in direct sunlight for awhile & wait. Then, you can gently peel off the badges by hand or use a plastic spatula, kinda what is used to apply bondo. It worked for me.

I used a peice of fishing string.. the glue came off 10X better than my last 3 cars.. it only took about 10 to 15 minutes for the debadge.

p.s. pics are not showing up for me for some reason.

If possible, use a heat gun. I did this for my car, and the badges came off really easy. The adhesive actually came off too...if not heat gun, use a hairdryer
