He must have removed it or moved it to another file location.
Basically it was a video of the front TL door sill cut and fitted with the MDX door illuminated-sill. It looked sort of like an overlay... or... inlay?
Imagine this
placed almost literally over this:

and they work exactly with the door bulb. Not interior ambient.
They may not be perfect, but they look a ton better than oem... And what little imperfections you may see, they are not noticable hopping in and out of the car. All you notice is the illumination.. and I also polished the OEM sills.. so it is a closer match.
When its dark, you dont see 1 layer over the other. All you see is "ACURA"
.

While I can appreciate the time and effort put into this project, I don't think it looks good whatsoever just being placed on top of the stock sills

all you see are pics.. You have no idea what it is like in person..Pictures on my phone camera dont even represent the right color of the Acura illumination... but you know as they say.. To each, their own!! Whatever you want!! See it in person then judge.. This is tons better than OEM. But I respect your opinion... however I think you are misinformed by not seeing it in person.. I think people judge things based on what they are used to seeing.. If you toss in 1 little caviot, then they are disoriented until they get used to it.. Just like "new car styles". You know.. give'm a while.. they will like it... What are your options? Do you have something better besides a machine machufactured device? Mine is retrofit.. you should appreciate! (for hands on) I'd like to see you do better!! Post it!!

If you were local I would gladly check them out, but since you're not, all I have to go by are pictures you provide.

understandable..
however, I do not suggest anyone to do this mod. It is alot of work and odds are, you will mess it up. So with that in mind, try this on a spare set of sills.. But on the other hand, if you do it with a spare set, you will be inclined to quit... But if you do it on your preferred set, you won't stop until you get it right.... So, you be the judge...

after all... if you are going to buy a spare set anyway.. why not experiment on the good ones that you already have... ?
So what is preferred?
What is good?
What is expendable?
just do it. It's only a few hundred.

I like it =)
I'd love it if the dots weren't there, it'd look so clean, simple and classy.
Looks so refreshing.
I'd do it if it didn't cost so much though.

Thanks guitarplayer16.. Nice pic. And you are right. They are refreshing.. even the way it is now. Trust me.. I like seeing them when I open the doors..
To all the haters: It seems to flow better in person because you are not staring at it and scrutinize it like we do in pictures. But I agree about the dots. It might be better if they were "lines" instead of square dots.. The 07/08 sills have lines.. like wings, if you will. Instead of little square dots. I thought about ordering the 07/08's from online dealer, but I figured I would try it with my stock ones first. But I sort of doubt I will buy the 07/08 sills because it's a lot of work and easy to mess up the surface with a dremel and you may cut too far, leaving a big hole which may be visible and there would not be much gain from what it is now.. So you have to go slow and cut a little bit, and try to fit it, then cut a little more, and then see how that sits.. It's a process.
By the way, the pictures make the "acura" light sort of blurry because of how the camera captures the light. In person the "Acura" light is Much Sharper and the color of the light is not as white. It's more modern ergonomic artdecko blueish-white. hahhaa

Just because we have different opinions doesn't mean we are "haters". You can't expect to get all positive reviews when you post something on the internet.
Like I said in my original post, I can appreciate the time and effort you put into it. Stop taking other people's opinions as personal attacks.

Well actually, since you mentioned it, saying "its not implemented well" actually is a personal attack. Because it was implemented very well with lots of patience and skill. That is how it was implemented. If someone doesn't like the dots, then that is fine. The dots is what I had to work with. And if I want to buy an 07/08 sill and begin with a different starting point, then that will yield a different result. But considering what I had to work with, it was implemented extremely well. Just look at it. It looks damn good. I think you all should just keep your ugly dull sills so I can have my illuminated ones. So when I pull up next to ya, mine will shine better. haha
I would like to see justnspace create a better solution from scratch... If you can't see the skill in mounting this MDX sill on top of the TL sill without trashing it and if you can't see the wet sanding and polishing on the TL sills, then you have no idea what good or bad implementation really is. Justnspace is a fool. but that is my personal opinion.. so dont take it as a personal jab. ok? haha He has never seen my sills in person. So he meant that again as a personal jab.
.
.
So if I say you had the right materials but it was implemented poorly, don't take that as a personal jab! ok?
But the truth is, all I had was 05 sills. And then I implemented a new look. And it came out great. Would it look better with 07/08 sills that have lines on them instead of dots? Probably yes! So, send me some money and I'll get right on it since I tried it on my 05's for starters.. See, I did implement it well. I tried it on my 05's before buying the 07/08's. That's a good idea right? I mean, why would I take a chance on detroying new 07/08 sills? Its best to try it on my 05's first. Thanks Chad! That's a great idea!
Or better yet, Keep your old dull sills. I don't care..

Sigh... Its like xclusv all over again.
calm down dude. We aren't attacking you. I get youre proud of your work, you should be. Maybe it does look better in person, we don't know most of us who posted aren't local.
i don't know if you missed it or not but a handful of us liked the idea/concept. Yes, we do think it wasn't implemented very well. That's mainly because of the squares. I think even the lines from the 07-08 wouldn't help much either.
have you considered sanding the entire sill down as to eliminate the squares? Or simpler yet, use polished or brushed aluminum vinyl to cover the TL sill? There's still ways you can make this look much cleaner over all. The photoshop GP16 posted would be a perfect example of how it would look if you eliminated the squares, it looks much cleaner and more OEM feeling.
