I think i'm going to put her down like .5-.75" all around...
shes a super daily driver and the roads around la are pretty shitty...
i already have tire rub/gouging on large bumps in the front.
id rather be a little higher then have cutting in the side wells of my tire

I daily commute to work in Los Angeles/UCLA area and often go visit Koreatown (worst streets of LA period) ... I was the second TL owner to get the varrstoens, and I've been running with 1/4" thread left on my Tein Basics for the past several months already ... trust me, you can do it hahahahh (just have to know which streets to utilize in your daily commute)

EDIT: I'd have to say it has to do with that initial anxiety of what might potentially happen/go wrong, but honestly as long as you avoid big potholes and know the general streets in the area on which you're driving, there shouldn't be any worries. It's definitely feasible. :P Plus, the person to rock the first set of Varrstoens (ib18ci) is even lower than I am, and he's able to get around just fine.

haha awesome, makes me feel much better... i also run a +15. did you do that or do the +31's or what not?
i don't have much experience with other suspension setups besides stock/tls/tein ss's on medium. if you have experience with it, how would you compare the basics to any others?
i feel like it's a bit softer and have a huge travel distance...
am i wrong?

I was the first person to pick up the set of 18x9, +15's after Tim test-fitted that fitment on his car hahahh

Travel distance/rebound does seem to be somewhat lengthy ... only on huge dips at substantial speeds though ... just go little slower, save gas has been my philosophy ever since hahah

EDIT: I'm sorry, but .... ktown streets are HORRIBLE loll. I literally have a route planned out in terms of what streets to use to get to my gf's house ... as well as, which gas stations I can even get into lol

Looking good man!

The only thing I would suggest is lowering the front down a bit. I know roads can be a bitch, but to be honest they are bad everywhere you go. I've never been anywhere and said to myself "wow these roads are nice!". Put those coils to use! I'm lower than you on springs

yeah they're huge, taken from a dslr, then imageshack compressed to 2048x1600 i think, if you click on the image then the image again it gets a little bigger.

Hmm so I guess it;s only 2007 then, here's a photo thread of KGP

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-photograph-gallery-96/got-cgp-carbon-gray-pearl-611458/

That means in 10 years I may have a rare color. My TL will be worth MILLIONS

i'm super confused lol.
funny acura decided to make 1 year colors.
i'd like to see if cgp = pmm though
maybe they just changed the name
looking through the picture thread, some of them look like my color, some not so much..
but with light differences, i'm not going to make a hypothesis yet...

You're welcome! I'm glad you didn't take it as me talking shit or anything along those lines. I was just giving some positive criticism

I look forward to seeing the car once you lower it a bit more!

You're running pretty aggressive wheels but your ride height doesn't flow with it. Usually people that run +15 on a TL are WAY lower than you are. Just slam that bitch and just about everyone will be happy (notice I said just about everyone)

Thanks. Yeah, I still have them on my car, daily driven to LA. My rear fenders were rolled somewhat flat, but I still rub on dips and whatnot (I don't mind a little rubbing). I actually might try rolling them a little more to see if I can get couple mm's more out of it

your car looks like an AM (Anthracite Metallic) only found in 04-06. I just recently did a 07-08 front end swap. but yeah man.. take everyones advice about lowering the car.. u might as well have the stock suspension if youre gonna ride it at that height lol. your car will look 100x better once dropped to no finger gaps

Looking good man. I understand where you're coming from with being worried about lowering too much. I don't know how people run such low cars without having any trouble with their fenders gouging the sidewall of their tires. Ive had that problem as well. The back isn't so much an issue because a little rub isn't gonna kill anybody, but gouging is horrible. First and foremost it has to be functional right?

bahahahahaha.

on another note...
definitely going to lower it a bit more to maybe have a fingers gap between top of tire and top of fender.
definitely going to be more cognicient of where i drive too though...

^in that case, just be prepared to hear many people suggest you lower your car more haha (which isn't really a problem at all if you think about it) haha
