2005 TL with Redline Leather Armrest Cover
Just installed my new Armrest cover from www.Redlinegoods.com
Really like the way the black looks with the tan stripes with the Tan interior color.

Arm rest looks nice. Is it comfortable and loaded with cushion material? The OEM arm rest material is very cheap and mine is really flat. You can touch my arm rest and feel the hard plastic material or whatever is underneath the cushion because the cushion doesn't even exist anymore. You can just look at my arm rest and tell somethings wrong lol.
Your new arm rest kind of clashes with the rest of your interior... It doesn't really match with anything and stands out on its own lol

looks like there is alot of padding on the arm rest compare to stock.

I dig the idea of better padding and new arm rest, but looking on their site, I don't think they have a color that matches the Taupe in our cars.

RedlineGoods is great aren't they?
Here's my armrest from them on my 2G
And they also did my steering wheel
Only problem with them is shipping them parts. International shipping to Poland for anything over 4lbs is expensive!

Yes, I did mine 2 years ago and the armrest looks and feels great- big upgrade from stock when you get the extra padding. I went with the Sierra color for the parchment- close (but a tad darker) match.

Looks good. I just recently took the cover off of my armrest and replaced it with new cushion.

Looks great and it's not as expensive as I would have thought.

The 3G should have been offered with an interior that looked like that. I absolutely hate the taupe interiors on the TL. We installed a timing belt on one the other day and that was the first time i've been in one, it made me sick to my stomach. I went back to my TL (black on black) and kissed it

That's exactly why I didn't do anything. I was going to have them sew Type S logo's into my headrests. But it would have cost a small fortune.

This is what taupe looks like.
I have a 08 base TL NBP with taupe interior. Taupe looks better than peanut butter interior (OP's interior), but ebony interior is always #1 on my list.

The OEM rest isn't worth replacing- get a better padded one. I bought the padded cover from Redline, then took it to a local shop to have it installed on the 'pan' of the armrest for $35, then reattached it myself (just some screws). Also, the new armrest slides on the base like the old one. I have the lesser of the 2 pads Redline sells and it's perfect for my needs/ wants.
