trunk switch light,
emergency switch light
trip computer light

I am waiting for new licence plate LED lights , old ones I am thinking about putting them in front for legs lights but this is just idea for now
Finally I can see vents ac and other switches in the night

Also I got new pass mirror glass
and washed car since it was arround 50f here in NJ today

from technical side car is good to drive right now. I have timing belt set ready to put in and that should be enough,

plans for now,
new tires , decided to go with Continental Extreme Contact DWS06
left headlight,
front and rear bumpers,
thinking about new rotors and pads from EBC +15mm spacers + koni shocks and lowering springs +-30mm ( dont want to go with coils )
probably I will get new downpipe ( J ) to free some horses
wrapping steering wheel with new leather

still has some dents , set from amazon did the job but not so perfect so i will leave it to professionals.

It may not be a fuse, it might be the wedge bulbs. They tend to go out when something around them is being removed and or installed. I think the fuse is labeled as H/Seat. (20 amp)

i have to check it. Bulbs does not have anything to this, even without them heating should work, Ive checked it for 30min and seats are still cold. I,didnt have time today to look into it , all i know wire harness is connected properly, h seat fuse seems to be ok, anyway i will check all possibly related fuses tomorrow,

I had those LED for my Lexus and the biggest problem will be moisture will get into the bulb and cause them to burn out (each individual LED)

looks great! I just noticed something. You said your TL is an 05 but from the interior, it's an 04. Doesn't really matter, just wanted to mention it.

I don't know who makes it for the Lexus but I have not heard of these Acura/Honda 18 SMD License LEDs failing.
Granted there are many manufacturers out there that make it but the one I bought on eBay had a very solid clear epoxy-like seal over the whole back side of the PCB.

Good eye! It's a 2005 with a 2004 steering wheel airbag.
Everything else looks 2005 - the seats with the 3 bottom sections, and the hazard button has the passenger airbag cutoff light.
It's unlikely that the previous owner bought a 2005 and up center vent and the 2005 and up hazard button and did splicing with the harness behind to make everything work if it was indeed an 04.

Likely that the airbag was deployed and the previous owner replaced it with a 2004 airbag.
OR the previous owner just liked the 2004 steering wheel emblem more than the 2005 and swapped airbags with someone, unlikely.

Hehe i disnt evwn know that, but maybe car had deployed airbag , i dont know, as far as i checked car has clean title carfax , but today everything is possible i have seen lease cars with 50k 70k miles per year wh3n contract was as usually for 12 15k, so people went to shop to lower milage...every time before inspection.. Since that time i know carfax is not worthy like years ago..

I have checked car and rails are straight but for sure there was front end accident or,something since bumper is not, oem, but fenders and headlights are still factory, so maybe airbag was deployed and changed for one which was cheaper or previous owner didnt even know that they are slightly different , so do I.

Regarding led on license plate, yes they look pretty decent quality and yes they are dipped with epoxy or hot glue, gel or something like that in the back so i dont think they become wet.
Even if they survive 1year i will be happy.. They were 12bucks shipped.

We got over 70f today here in North Jersey so couldnt be different than spending time outside, I finally cleaned headliner and pillars ( pictures are before I forgot to make before and after pictures )
finally took care with leather . I have tested many many brands of balm, conditioners for leather and finally found product which satisfied me 100%
Meguiars ultimate leather balm
Amazon Amazon
I am impressed with results, and that nice almond/coconut smell.
Preparing for bumper and headlight exchange.. little comparsion.. old and new one. Funny thing is that in the day I bought the car I didnt even see that headlight is broken inside , because car was so dirt covering all defects very well.
Last photo shows how it was in day 1

I don't really understand the need for extra bright license plate lights. Is it to aid the police in identifying your vehicle in case you get away? Or for traffic cams to clearly read the plate? Lol

Lighten the f****up lmao.

its not about bright, its more like get it done right the first time and you won't have to go back again, I learned my lesson with the red TL where Ebay bulb burn out and flicker in couple of months. I then replace it with Vled bulbs and been going strong for the last 5 years.

If these unit properly sealed it would be hard to beat even a premium quality bulbs.

Lighten up? I was lightened up. I was just curious as to why you guys needed brighter bulbs. Maybe you need to lighten the f*** up.

Those are the exact same ones I bought too from the same seller.
I would recommend them over and over again.

There are a few manufactures out there that make the "18 smd direct replacement acura/honda leds".
For example, a couple years ago I ordered them from iJDMToy. https://store.ijdmtoy.com/Acura-TL-T...s-p/75-017.htm
I was SO disappointed in them. The plastic they used was SO brittle, it broke because the tab that was supposed to flex wasn't able to flex without breaking.
I also don't remember it having a seal over the PCB either.
Another friend of mine ordered from eBay with a different seller and the lens didn't even fit without sanding down.

I personally love bright license plate lights because of aesthetics. There's something nice about seeing the LEDs light up the whole plate area evenly and with a line on the ground.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, though.

Here on acurazine are cars modded, cars which i like a lot and cars with modifications I wouldnt do on my car, but it doesnt mean my and ONLY my point of view is right ...
With taste is like with ass, everybody has their own.....
You dont like it - good for You
I like it - good for me , I am happy with that.

as was said I like this bright light , looks clean and neat. If we talk this way nobody should use led at home , work,or car, even flashlight would be fine with standard bulb and xenons are bad, even Roentgen is bad too.
I dont have reason to be afraid of caps or others dashcams, trying live good way to get good payback, as you sow, so shall you reap .... They also call it Karma.

thanks for unsubsribing,
you have not brought much to the subject matter... being polite really has good impact on environment, family, people living and working with you....try it- its free, cost zero, null , gratis, bonus, If its too much just drink cup of strong coffee, that works good on Your mood too

nice shot !, I have to agree with You, when I see car like this, nice clean, even with small things like stupid leds, ( which looks like cherry on cake , final touch ) Im sure inside the car is car lover, more than just the driver, person with passion or hobby.

I was polite. I asked why you wanted brighter license plate lights. I didn't ask rudely or told you it was a stupid idea. Although your analogy of led lights at home or work make no sense. Led lights at home or at work serve the purpose of helping you see better, save on electricity bill as they use less.

When you you are sitting behind the steering wheel of your car, you can't even see the license plate lights, so I was trying to understand why. I'm new here, and I'm trying to understand why you guys do what you do and I'm told to lighten the f*** up.
Sorry, I haven't contributed to your great thread. Also, your paragraph in bold, though sounding polite, wasn't really polite, so spare me the fake politeness.

See? Sounded polite right? Lol.

as a long time forum member here I suggest you should go read about the "red text" in the forum comment and what it actually mean.

As far as OP and GP car its theirs car and i could careless what kind of mods on it. I just stated that I got tired paying $$$ for premium LED bulbs (which last a long time) vs quality one (cost 1/4 of the quality LED bulb) , I personally like the LED bulb which bring the TL to modern standard and all of my ride has been upgrade to LED bulb.

OP I will update you in the long run on these new ebay SMD unit, I live in Houston where moisture present all year around and I wash my car often too so time will tell.

When You are sitting behind the steering wheel of Your car You also dont see You rear bumper a-spec lip kit , aftermarket taillights or even muffler tips. but people install it too most of these exterior mods are for look i think.

I just like all exterior lights to kinda match...so when you walk around the car at night you see the nice bright whitish headlights and then the license matching.
That said, on this S2000 I opted to not do any new LED lights and left it all simple and original. I have caused too many issues by touching things that I shouldn't have over the years
and with a 2 year old, I don't have the troubleshooting time I used. Shoot, on the CTS-V I did all the interior lights because it modernized it but half of them flicker
and after my divorce I threw all my old bulbs away.

Anyway, let's keep it civil boys...nobody is being rude, just tongue in cheek. No tone in writing...I doubt anything should be taken seriously.

Point taken on the aspec rear bumper that you can’t see from inside the car. Still, the bumper doesn’t aid the police or idiots in seeing your license plate number more clearly, which was my point.
If I go through a light that is a little too yellow, with shades of red, I’d prefer my lincense plate to be less readable, not more.
That’s all. Sorry if I was a little touchy, don’t really care for being told to lighten the f***up when my post wasn’t meant with malice.

thats fine Sir thats first time I perform that mod , If I get borred or change my mind I can easly go back to previous fsctory setup.

now time for front bumper... can somebody explain here whats the difference between 04-06 bumper and after facelift ? Point is I have to buy bumper anyway which is at same price no matter You choose old or new style, But if it will not require much extra steps I rather go with bumper after facelift. .. headlights are the same, I see grill is little bit different right ?

depends...
if you're talking base to base facelift you'll get new fog lights...
if you mean base to type s...grill is definitely different. on the rear, the difference is the bumper opening for exhaust tips.

personally, i'm a fan of the base look with the original aspec.

You will need a 07-08 rear bumper if you put on 07-08 Aspec (regardless of Base or Type Slow) since the rear 07-08 has cut out slot on the bottom where 04-06 does not have this cut (unless you want to cut a hole in your current 04-06 bumper). If you get 07-08 front Aspec you will need fog light regardless of 07-08 Aspec from base or Type Slow.

I actually prefer the front lip from 04-06 Tl since they make the car look more aggressive and the Type S front lip just too much for my taste.

BTW if you decide to swap the 07-08 bumper you will need a grill for 07-08 TL too.

thanks Guys, so I will stick with base 05" bumper and maybe in future add lip in front.
planning to buy ready painted one to avoid taking it to body shop since replacing is piece of cake.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fits-2004-2...NYBjpK&vxp=mtr

I have spend already 1200$ just in parts, all works were done by me but it would cost another 1200 if done at shop.
still need to change brakes, bumpers, tires so it will be easily another 1500$....nobody said it will be easy

I dealt with MBIauto several time in the past and I had no complaint about their work or bumper. I bought a set of front+rear bumper for my Lexus and a fender for my cousin Camry.

Hi Guys, didnt updated for a while not much happened, enjoying car everyday as daily work car ( as on last photo with trunk full of tools ), friend from work was suprised how daily car can be mainteined and clean inside how it drives when You take care ...not a big deal for me big for somebody who just drives without putting a dime. So thats my second month with this car and i can say I like him a lot ! , pulls really really nice, doing 21mpg since I have him not soo good not so bad.

so I replaced 2 transmission pressure sensors , firstly I bought both on amazon from Sins company which has good reviews , one was fine, second one just broke so easily even with torque rachet , i felt my heart In my stomach seeing half piece stayed in transmission block.. fortunately it didnt stuck so I removed it with flat screwdriver. might be bad one since one is nice and works great, great improvement in transmission work....I bought second one too, but this time oem honda sensor which I am going to install tomorrow, I hope t will be even better right now.
then I replaced left headlight which was sitting in garage for few weeks waiting for installation, took some time to reinstall all bulbs and ballast but its done, looks great and finaly works as it should, much brighter !
same day I covered hood with carbon 7d foil since hood has some imperfections , it is not so perfect but anyway I am impressed how they made this foil this day, its nice and glossy and looks really nice, car people will notice it is fake , but 95% will not. I have comparsion to real carbon since I had vis racing carbon hood in the past in my scion tc and as I said this fake looks good .
I also got new brake pedal rubber from Honda which gave a nice touch too instead an old one..

Due to brake pedal pulsation I know brakes need to be done , so I ordered brakes for front and back decided to go with Bosch quietcast premium rotors
Amazon Amazon
Amazon Amazon
and duralast max brake pads since they have good reviews and are liftime...

I was considering centric stoptech which are in same price about 50$ for front (each) but final pulled trigger on bosch which I tested on other cars.

only thing which I need Your advice is dot4 fluid. Which You Guys would choose ? :

ATE typ 200 racing fluid 17$ for liter
Amazon Amazon

or
motul rbf600 19$ for half liter only.. which will be 40$ for liter....
Amazon Amazon

winter this year in North Jersey is crazy... thats what happened within few hours. At least I had 2days off

just waiting for sun and time to take care , take some wash, waxing.... amount of salt here in jersey is ridiculous

Decided to go with motul rbf600 dot4 fluid.
replaced second pressure switch ( oem honda ) and now I can see big improvement in tranny work !

once I exchanged driver headlight I was in need of new fog light bulb, finaly receive it.. look at old and new one, look at the old light inside probably caused by previous minor accident which I knew previous owner had but didnt pay attention to check even bulbs .. finaly it is done , all works properly nice and bright

got sunny saturday and couldnt resist so I washed cars with new shampoo ( tired with meguairs gold which is good but wanted to try something new )
Amazon Amazon
really like this shampoo plus is that it has wax in it which can maintain paint a little

Leather cleaned and cured with meguiars ultimate leather balm which works best for me and smells soo good !
