2004 TL SSM with 19" Motegi Racing

Hey all,

I just created a link to my photos. I am considering lowering the car with Comptechs. Do you think it would be too low?

Very nice. It looks great the way it is. Since the pics are a little dark, I can't tell the amount of gap. How much gap do you have between the tire and the wheelwell?

IMO, I don't think the Comptech drop would be too much, but then again, that depends on your offsets. If you have around a 40-45mm offset, it should not be a problem.

In the words of automata: what are the specs?

The wheel is a 19X8 with a +40 offset. The tire is a BFG 235/35/19. I can get probably 2 1/2 fingers between the fender and the top of the tire.

Thanks for the feedback!

You shouldn't have any problem with Comptech springs. I have them with 19x8 +42mm wheels and 245/35/19 tires and no rubbing.

Looks really good! That's the thing with these 3rd gen TL's...you can put 19's on without a drop and it still looks good. But a 2nd gen+ 19s w/o a drop looks like a 4X4.
