stop hating.. DMM is one of the hottest & rarest colors out there.. I'm not feeling the black wheel combo but it's still sex.
It'll happen when Inacc boosts his 3G TL.. lol. He has an AT so it may only last one run but it'll be an 'epic' run..
Ya know, i used to follow that turbo thread religiously when i had my Type-s....
we've all seen the amazing dyno numbers... but when is the owner going to put some slicks on the front and run a 1/4 mile with that car.....
Thats where the real magic is... I wanna see this TL run a sub 12sec 1/4 mile...![Wish](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/wish.gif)

Quarter-mile racing is *very* unforgiving of poor starting-line performance.
Most people view quarter-mile racing as being simple because it is just wot down a straight-line track. But, quarter-mile racing is *very* complicated when you really get into it. It ain't easy as it looks.
Quarter-mile racing is mostly about starting-line performance. If you have ever seen a real drag car breakdown when he was just 1/3 of the way down the track, and he will coast with no power (broken engine) the remainder 2/3's of the track, and he will produce a 10-second ET with ridiculously low MPH like 60 mph. He "earned" that 10-second ET with that intense starting-line pull before he broke-down.
And, the opposite is true. Anytime you combine a high horsepower car (500 hp - 1000 hp) with normal street tires (and I don't mean street legal drag radials), that car will *always* produce a ridiculously slow ET that is *not* representative of it's true quarter-mile potential. It is usually "unheard of" for any car, even a 1000-hp car, to get into the 12.0 range when on street tires. The Porsche's get close because they have the engine/trans weight sitting directly over the rear wheels.
Ok, so let's put racing slicks on the car. No, you can't *just* do that. "You will break" ! Break what ? Can't say exactly... all cars are different. But, I guarantee you that "you will break".

Some people say rolls are for stoners, but idc I'd rather have my car working then to break it launching it. Just IMO though. =)

to be honest its the biggest sleeper con..... no one knows until it spools
you're right... im sure Rodney will accept donations towards new wheels and a paint job....... dont worry... he wont hold his breath
remember the car is heavy, and the clutch and axles may not be able to hold a strong launch.
i was just about to use this same car as an example
its a heat cover...

Inaccurate explained it best.
This car has huge potential with the torque production if you can get it to hook without breaking. I was barely making 500hp at the wheels at 3,300lbs going 10.60s. To give you an idea of the launch, the pedal was on the floor, no backpedaling and you can feel the skin on your face being pulled back, you lose sight of the track for a second, and you get light headed the first few times. The TL might not hit a 1.4 60' but it can definately hit a 1.8 on tire. That would put it somewhere in the mid/upper 11s. The power is there for mid/low 11s but it will have to be put down.
For the turbo TL to lay down a low 11s pass it would have to be capable of launching with the pedal to the floor banging the revlimiter and put it down without spinning or breaking. Not impossible but it's a long road to get there. It's known how to make a car hook but no one has ever taken a TL this far so it's going to start breaking parts and the only way to know is to break and then upgrade.
I want to see the first time at the track on street tire so it doesn't break and we get an idea of the mph it's capable of. Should go easy 115mph and likely a bit more.
