08 TL-S HDR photoshoot

Hello everyone, I am sort of a new member, I have been reading the forum for some time but recently got a TL-S and all I have to say is WOW. Love the car... Here are some pictures that I took. Camera used was Nikon D90 with a 18-105 VR lens. Photos where retouched in Photomatix 3.2. If you have any comments or suggestions, let me know. Enjoy.

They have a fully functioning trial that leaves a watermark but it will give you an idea of how things will come out.

Op- photos are looking good and awesome location for the shoot

Thanks, I have a Eibach Pro springs in the front only, it looks even, i am afraid if I install the rear ones, it's going to sag, I also have a 15mm spacers in the front and 20mm in the back.

elkayem, I have 15MM in the front and 20MM in the rear, but I want to try to add 5MM more in the rear and see how it will look, fronts with 15mm is perfect.

xrvman, from what I understand HDR is a set of techniques that allow a greater dynamic range of luminances between the lightest and darkest areas of an image than standard digital imaging techniques or photographic methods. And this is what attempted to do. Can you please elaborate?

I have the exact same camera and lense but I can't take a very good HDR pic. what exposure did you use? You took 3 pics into 1 right?

Takoyaki i took the photos in .RAW format, you can change that in the settings in the camera, I have tried taking 3 photos and combing them in two 1 hdr and the picture quality is not very noticeable, but it more of a pain to take 3 photos, and i kind of hate the muddy tires too, but wa just too lazy to Photoshop them out, they are dirty from the photos 5,6 and 7. All the photos were taken on one day.

HDR is multiple exposures taken at different exposures throughout the rang in order to push the dynamic range beyond the stock settings of the camera... Typical DSLR have a DR of 16-18 stops in .RAW... Taking multiple pictures for example... and indoor in front of a window shot... typically the stuff outside the window will be extremely over exposed to the point of no information preservation... the correct way to HD that situation would be to take multiple photos... One at correct exposer for the things outside... maybe even a few of the outside at different exposures... then take multiple images of the indoors at different exposures... bring them into PS and layer mask them until everything is exposed. typically in HD there are little to no blacks caused by shadows... this is because you have eliminated shadows and highlights by exposing every inch of your frame correctly in multiple pics... This can be used to push your DR to an unlimited amount... but typically it is pushed closer to 20-30 stops...
