lol exactly. You do your thing, let him do his haha. You got your own style, don't let other people's opinions get to you.

22" rims aren't that big on this forum (not literally) so everyone has something to say lol.

I can respect you stepping outside the box to do something different.

But in my opinion, it just looks goofy. Way too big. 20s is the biggest I would go. You are putting a lot more stress on your brakes, axles, ball joints, transmission.....idk man. Not my taste, but if you like it thats all that matters.

Sorry but...I'd rather have a supercharged 04 TL than a TL-S on 22 inch rims. I'm sure most of the forum would agree with me. Outside of your crew you're getting laughed at dude.

^ I mean, he says he doesn't care about speed. but then why even fuck with a TL-S...might as well pick up an Escalade or Yukon and not look so retarded. I just don't get some people.

^ I agree, why purchase a Type S, if you don't care about the speed or performance, you should have just purchased a base model if you were gonna do 22szszszszsz lol

Why so much negativity towards the op. He just wanted to share some pics of his TL which he is obviously proud of. Some of the comments and pics that were posted were just silly. The guy is attacked because he tried something different and people expect him not to catch feelings !?!? To his credit he has handled it well.
I'm pretty sure he got a Type S because thats what he wanted. You don't need to like speed to get the Type S he may have liked the interior better who knows. Why buy a base TL and dump 15 grand under the hood instead of buying a faster car? Because thats what that person wanted to do !
Anyw
ys I'm ranting now. Nice ride op. Do your thang don't let the hate get to you.

Some of you expressed your opinion. No need to rehash what was already said and start a flame war. Move on. The OP's a relatively new member here. I'm sure all of you can state an opinion on something without being an asshat...or am I expecting too much?

All good. Do what you want. It's not my car, it's yours. Although if you do get staggered 20's in the future it could look *money*

WoW, I don't care about the SUV height or the big ass rims....

Safety is more of a concern, the car was not designed for this. On a skidpad you will arrive at horrible results, which will hurt you in an event of emergency maneuvering to avoid an accident, especially in bad weather. You have completely ruined the geometry of the car.
I can only imagine the centripetal pull when you are taking a sharp turn, by the way, don't do it in your car, you may wrap a pole. I can go on and on and on, but I know you won't listen. Be safe, enjoy the rims.

Having rims that big will force you to cruise and not drive like your playing Gran Turismo.....

The slower you drive, the more necks you break(which is a good thing in this sense...shiny stuff catches the eye).

I dig what your saying though. Safety is a huge concern but I doubt the OP would be foolish enough to drive the car to its threshhold with 4 passengers. Also, when your driving that slow you cant help but be safe....especially in a $35k car and $3500 wheels....too much money on the line.

I understand what you are saying, and I'm glad this fashion is dead in NYC....especially sprewells spinners... SUVs with all their glory deserve huge rims, not sport sedans... As long as the op likes it, it's all good. I'm assuming in the winter (coming to theaters near you) he will put stockies back on. And I'm sure he is KBP TL is easy to spot, he is done who would be looking down on you

Yes, Bentley Coupe GT has huge rims, umm...it's bentley.

If it wasn't for your info I woulda thought you were from tha Dirrty South son! Or Houston area! Personally I dig the shit...modding is adding your own style and flavor. Keep it up. All I gotta say is that those rims would definately set off the candy apple paint I'm about to throw on mine!!

The most impressive thing is how TINY the rotors look behind those wheels.

Also, people, let's make one thing clear.

Those are not wheels.

Those are rimz.

It's his choice not everyone is going to like it. I would rather everyone have their own taste than to see the same mods done on everyone's TL. We mod to our own taste, so what if he rolls with 22's. Let him be the 1st one to put 22's on a type-s.

It doesn't matter how much you guys drop on wheels and whats under your hood. His taste is rolling/crusing and getting looks and you know he's going to get looks so if that's what he wants.. then let it be.

If you guys want to drop 20k under your hood for speed thats up to you. Nobody is asking you what to do with your money.

If you guys hate his wheels so much then don't post just go on with your life..
