Close of view from rear of the type-s a-spec rear lip with base TL exhaust:

Now I just need to find time to install the front Base A-Spec lip and Type-S quad exhaust with 3rd muffler delete & larger resonator...To be continued.

Great. I have the same color/model as you and was thinking about putting a kit on.

I was wondering, other than the exhaust area, is there a difference between the type s and normal a spec kit? Were you planning to put quad exhaust in? I was not planning to change my exhaust so I was leaning towards the standard a spec kit for my CBP, unless someone can tell me other differences between the two kits.

The difference is that the type-s has the gap opens to the rear bumper cover in between the exhaust vents while the base a-spec has all black between the two exhaust openings.

Here is the finished product. Found some time and my brother helped put in the the type-s quads with 3rd muffler delete and larger resonator. I finally put on the front base a-spec lip. I got the base a-spec body kit with the rear type-s lip since base lip was discontinued from our awesome vendor ACKTL05 (Group buy price). Thanks ACKTL05.

Here are the pix:

Next is I'm waiting for these tires to wear out so I can put on the 18" A-Spec wheels I have laying around in the garage.

I changed out all the interior bulbs and replaced them with LEDs. I also change the rear turn signal bulb to amber LEDS since the DEPO smoker tails had the turn signal area clear. I opted to go the way of soldering two 12 ohms resistor to replace the shunt in the turn signal relay instead of the heated load resistor to deal with the hype-rflashing. Thanks to Roger555 :
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/g-109-diy-eliminate-led-bulb-induced-hyper-flashing-without-load-resistors-815219/

Took less than 15 minutes and a lot cleaner than hiding the hot load resistor, IMO. With the two 12 ohm resistor, I will be able to change the front signal bulbs to the switchbacks after I save some money to get ACKTL05 to mod my headlights.

Man this mod bug is way expensive. At least the diet is working on something, my wallet...

That was the first part of my Father's Day gift.

Here is the second:

2010 TL w/Tech Pkg & 18" SH-AWD wheels.

Jealous, anyone...

That's why I had to install the quads on Father's day. A gift to myself.

The car looks great! Nicely done sir!

I'm confused about the 4G though. Did you get that as a fathers day present or did you give it to your dad?

One more question.

Approximately how much lower does the standard a spec front lip kit hang when compared to stock?

Right now, I barely clear a couple of driveways (very steep @ my son's school) with a stock front and not dropped.

It's about an inch lower in the front and the rear. My TL is not lowered yet...I guess you just got to go at an angle

I hear ya.

The only problem is that the drive way is so busy with kids and parents that its bothersome to keep trying to get the right angle...

I noticed that its not scraping the front bumper, but the black plastic under it...

So maybe if its just that I can get the a spec kit after all.
