Good shit, Gus.
You could list your TL for 20K and probably get it. No lie.

Ryan, it was a pleasure meeting you and an awesome buying experience. I can assure you that in my hands, the wheels are going to be minty as fuck. Thank you again for everything!

Thanks J! one would hope I'd be that one person to get 10x more than what the car is worth. LOL.

I appreciate the kind words! Yes, no joke on the demand for his wheels. I assured Ryan he made the best possible choice considering the condition of my TL and how OCD I am with things. I'm trying to find a legit wheel place that can swap tires from each set without putting a scratch in the wheels. I'll also sad when I sell my original A-specs that i've owned for 11+ years now.

If you have space, keep the OEM wheels... You're certainly not doing anything on a budget as is anyway...

I have a sweet spot for the German made vehicles. Congratulations on the S4! not too sure how I missed that. It's a beauty and i'm sure it's a blast to drive.

Both A-spec wheels are OEM, but no need to keep two sets. I didn't have time to take the wheels over to the shop to have them swapped. It's not on my highest priority list to do. I had one potential buyer in South NJ, but I couldn't sell my original set at his $450 price. I was willing to let them go for $500 which seems like a great price with Michelin tires.

Welcome back! Not many of us left. This December will make 13 years of ownership. It's sad to see how most of these vehicles end up.

Thanks! 3G forums seems kind of dead to be honest. It's very quiet here.

Is everyone just hanging out in car talk or 4g or elsewhere now?

It's cool to see you still have the 3G. And dang 13 years in December eh? Mine would be... 12 years once 2020 hits (January).

Almost 11 years for me too. Had the car since November 2008. Just ceramic coated my car and the paint looks better than ever! I do enjoy these types of threads.

Congrats brotha! Makes me really proud that the last few posts here are from the original OG's of the 3rd gen TL community. I barely log in or post. In fact this is the most I've used my account when compared to the rest of the year. I mostly keep to my IG page and or other car pages / forums.

Congrats brotha! It's always good to post an update once in a while. You never know who may stumble on your thread.

Congrats man! How you like the ceramic coating? I haven't washed my TL since getting it coated. It says covered most of the time.

What are your thoughts on the coating? I did it to extend the life of the original paint. I have a 4-5 year coating done.

The ceramic coating is very nice. It was hard to tell at first because I usually keep my car clean. But now I definitely can tell a difference compared to traditional wax. The car stays cleaner for longer and the rain basically washes the car for me. The rain does leave drip stains under the door handles and stuff but I can wipe it clean with a swipe of my hand. I've had the coating since 4/21 and the car is still my daily. I think I'm at 91,5xx miles now.

Do yall have strangers asking you if the car is for sale? It's happening more and more as the years go on...

More OGs! I've been wanting to coat my car... but she needs fresh paint first.

Yeah when I saw you still posting I was like daaaaamn he's still at it. Then there's the few others as well. Then we have J who left us but he's still here.... That traitor.

All the time lol. It was tempting. I kind of want to upgrade to the 4G but there's just something about the TL (in particular MY TL) that makes me want to keep it. (Probably the fact that I know how much I dumped into the car just experimenting on mods even if nothing came of it).

At one point, I had a lot of offers. Now, It's mostly on IG that I get the most attention. I've only had a few "Clean AF TL bruh, just wondering if you're selling" and the "Are you selling the supercharger" once a week.

Replicamotorsports did build it for me. I am his very 1st J-series engine and with the comptech supercharger. I paid $160 (I think) and about 3-4 weeks build time. It's not small and for the amount of blocks used and time invested to build, I think the price is very fair.

My TL is driveway kept placed under all season custom made car cover. The TL was fully paint corrected and ceramic coated. Which is why the paint looks flawless.

Hopefully I can take new pictures this weekend. A-spec wheels might be sold on Thursday. Buyer wants me to put one wheel on his car to see how they look.... I'm like "Ummmm... shurgs"... What ever happened to just buying wheels and going on with your day?

I refuse those buyer's.
sorry...but if I'm loading them up and driving to you it's because we agreed upon price and
as long as condition is what I said, then it's a done deal. I'm not there to sit and see you test fit and
ask your friend and scratch your ass to be like, oh well, thanks man...never mind.

Unless it's across the street from your house and you have nothing else to do. And to be a dick, only
show up with the one wheel he's test fitting then schedule to exchange money and the rest when you
figure out and let him know what denominations you want to be paid in.

My A-spec wheels are official sold! Guy was really nice, I quickly put two of them on for him to see. They looked amazing! Paid $550 for them. I knocked off the $50 for him waiting to buy the wheels.

Blue made 304hp all motor...it was fast but it was someone else's project.
Starter went, ac compressor went...then found out it wasn't the tuning...it was
the beating on the car to datalog while having shitty speaker level wiring for
ground. Not in addition to...in place of. That fried those things plus the ECU.
Well, turns out it didn't fry the ECU but the new one was in place when the grounds
were discovered.
