No, OEM coolant only. It looks like it's green but its not. I actually filled it right after I pulled out the battery and I cleaned up the container.

2019 thread revival.

It's been a bit crazy since the start of the new year. During some days off, I've decided to take care of the vehicles. One of the biggest concerns I had with the TL were that the brakes were due for replacement and all of it due to surface rust being pretty bad. The last brake job was done 6-7 years ago but the pads had 85% life left. The rotors had didn't fare too well sitting. I ordered a full set of pads and rotors. Browsing through the marketplace, an OG member was selling a fully ported and polished intake manifold with a polished TB, so I jumped on it. Over the last month it's been sitting in my basement, I took the time to fully wash it out (free of carbon) and give it another polish. I wasn't too sure on using the TB since I knew I had to re-learn the Idle, but I cleaned it up had it installed plus did the re-learn. A few days ago, my wife had an issue with her brakes on the Optima. Seems the parking shoes had come apart and pretty much everything went to hell. Had to order her 4 wheel brakes, pads with rotors. Luckily for me, there was a presidents day sale going on so I bought 4 cross drilled / slotted rotors with pads and free shipping for $287.00 yes, 287! So now everyone has new brakes, yay.. While I had both vehicles done, I had them repaint my wifes calipers and they repainted my rear calipers and only touched up a few spots on the front ones. Yes OCD. As you get to the pictures you will see the before and after of my intake manifold vs the newish one. I haven't taken out the car for a decent drive, I can't firmly say there's a noticeable difference other than a bit more responsive as you accelerate.

The car is Ceramic coated so.. yeah.. haha.

I took the TL out for a nice drive today. Wanted to get those brakes bedded in. Pulled off the highway to snap some photos. In another month i'll swap the Works back on.

Thanks man! I had type-s tail lights at one point. I loved the 07-08 base tail lights on WDP, so I went that route. IF I could and I can find them, I would rather rock CDM tail lights. They are impossible to find at this point.

I always have a soft spot for the A-specs. Just completes the entire look of the car keeping it classy and clean.

Honestly, I think I'm getting old because a nicely spaced out and lowered car on the best optional oem wheel always looks better to me than aftermarket now.

Thank you guys! I took the TL out over the weekend for a long drive. I forgot how nicely the TL pulls on the highway and also forgot what it's like to have heat soak... I did notice something odd with the ceramic coating, it seems almost as if some spots have marks that don't come off with the spray but only with a light touch of compound.. I have a feeling these guys didn't coat every single inch of the body. The area's i'm addressing this issue are the very bottom of the A-spec side pieces and the rear A-spec lip, towards the lower side.. I can only imagine if this was a daily vehicle how the ceramic coating would have held up so far. Not sure if it was worth the cost at this point.

Thanks brotha! I hoping this will end up being one of those "talked about" future classics. Keeping my fingers crossed.
