I have been waiting to see the covers installed before I pull the trigger... and all I can say is that those leathers look great!!! I will not be doing the installation because I am afraid that I would lose my mind if I did!

Thanks again for for sharing the pics

Hey buddy!!! Hope all is well man! Not a problem, glad It was helpful. I don't blame you on paying someone to do the install. Certainly requires a lot of time and a bit of knowledge on understanding how these come apart. Overall, for the cost and quality, they are worth it! If you have any questions, please let me know.

Wow, your car has come a long way! I remember the meets we used to have over in NJ. Curious, did you put any chemical or coating on the seats?

RON!!! Welcome back on Azine! Hope all is well man! Thank you for the very kind words! Yes, those were some very great times! Missed those ronjon meets. The seats got lexol leather conditioner after the install. They don't look as glossy.
Truly, great memories we had!

I would like to give Bruce a huge shout out today! He went above and beyond today with the CF Steering wheel. He brought the steering wheel from his location up to my location and met up with the wifey. That right there is amazing customer service!!

The quality and finish is unreal! By far one of the best improvements that can be made for these vehicles. Here are some of the pictures I took of the steering wheel. The wheel feels a lot better than the stock one. The carbon fiber looks perfect! Will be doing the install soon. I ordered new steering wheel lights just in case they go out when I do the swap.

Dude, I just finished reading your thread from top to bottom.... and I'm so glad I did. Fucking fantastic, truly an amazing transformation and even more amazing love you have for your TL. I'm not sure what my favorite part is, it's all so awesome! Definitely in for more updates, can't wait to see the installed steering wheel and what the summer will bring. Progress threads like yours are what inspired me to make mine!

Big-ups bud! Keep on killing it!

Best upgrade, I remember my steering wheel, I tried so had not to touch the leather parts to preserve them, I would steer with just the non-leather parts even if it would almost cause me to crash, lol.

I was like that with my acura CF wheel. I didn't want to mess it up, but 8 years later, it's worn. Best upgrade!

I installed the Carbon Fiber steering wheel Bruce sells. I also replaced all the steering wheel light bulbs with brighter OEM ones. Pretty straight forward install. The fit and finish is fantastic! Makes you want to build a real race car.

Just a quick DYI On the process:

Here is the wheel before I start the removal process. As you can see, it has worn marks around the wheel.

Unplugged the SRS and horn that connector before removing the (2x) Torx30 screws.

Airbag safely removed.

The next step was to disconnect the plug from the clock-spring and remove the 14mm center bolt.

Removed!

I wanted to do a side by side comparison of the wheels.
Name: 20170129_125122_zps38zs8ki3.jpg
Views: 1005
Size: 242.3 KB

I tried to show the thickness difference. Honestly, I think the new wheel is a bit thicker.

This view is a bit harder to understand, but I wanted to show how the wheels looked laying on top of each other.
Name: 20170129_125200_zpsipwabc68.jpg
Views: 1006
Size: 235.2 KB

I started to disassemble the orignal wheel. 1st thing I wanted to get out of the way are the steering wheel lights. The part number on the bag are the brightest OEM bulb.

Now, DO NOT make this same mistake. Make sure to install the top side controls on the wheel before installing the back plastic trim of the wheel.

The swap is done! Now ready for the final install.

Key-ON, Airbag light goes off and stays off after a few seconds. Horn works, job well done!

Gus! Do you happen to have a caliper or something to measure the thickness of the new wheel? @sockr1 and I were discussing this wheel last night and we were trying to see how much bigger it is exactly.

Can't believe I haven't posted in this thread until now!

Loved seeing your car progress, especially from the stage you had accord fogs.
The new interior pieces must have given your car a breath of fresh air

I have a digital Micrometer somewhere in my tool box that I would use to measure rotor thickness. As soon as I can find it, ill post the results.

Thank you for the kind words! These are the original supercomputer pedals. I bought these 3 years ago, maybe even longer than that. The vendor sold these as a "last batch" sale. You can find ones that are similar without the writing on ebay. Here is one set 2004 2005 2006 2007-2008 ACURA TL TYPE-S STAINLESS STEEL AUTO PEDALS + FOOTREST | eBay
You can also try to browse the web to find them. "Acura TL Sports Pedals"

Also, check out this thread, it may help out as well.
