Yea, there is no way you can blend the paint with that big of a difference. No point in trying.
If you are mixing the paint, spray some test panels and keep mixing.
That seems to have too much red tint in it.

Unfortunately I'm not mixing it, I agree, red and/or brown.

I wouldn't loosing sleep over the paint job especially the new fender look x78910 better than the old one got chew up. Looks like your brakes need attention next tho.

Probably the other fender liner & lower grilles & some PDR. Unless a sub-frame comes along lol.

My thoughts exactly. The brakes looked decently thick, it's probably not too far away though.

We replaced the passenger bumper clip with busted tabs & repainted the grille section of the bumper, too much paint was chipping away, making it look horrible. Had to feather out a lot of it as it kept chipping off during sanding....rage bruh.

Came out alright.

Still need to clean up the engine bay & plastics...also need the rear section & front clips too...

The irony is that that part is not supposed to be body color of the car...plastidip usually mimics the black satin color it comes in.
It looks good though!
Someone else had that painted and didn't prep right.

Exactly, this whole bumper has shit for adhesion, probably prepped it with water. Thanks!

Thanks! It's a super decent 10ft-er. A solid 6 out of 10 lol

It's really weird, the first time it matched perfect on my passenger mirror, used the same can on the rear bumper. Everything after that has been way off, I've never had this much trouble getting it matched, it's crazy!

Well we took it out for a drive & the a/c compressor started rattling 30min later, this kind of shit WOULD happen on the hottest day of the year in MO. Haven't gotten around to the PDR & front bumper yet, so it still looks a little like dog shit.

You should be very, very proud, of your RESCUE. You've done an excellence job, of bringing back, a basically great car, from the JAWS of the CRUSHER. Plus, everything you've learned, along the way, is invaluable. Kudos, to you, for your mechanical expertise, and to your brother, for his detailing prowess.

We wound up getting rid of the TL, someone wanted it more than us, seemed like the right move with the a/c compressor shitting out a couple weeks ago. Cleared about $700 after everything was said & done.
