Fit - yes; just make sure its for the 3rd gen

Look for any cracks especially in the welds. Inspect the mufflers and shake if there is anything rattling inside. Make sure all the hardware is included minus the gaskets (buy new ones).

Which exhaust is it? The dual or quad? If it's the dual, it's meant for a base TL. The quads are meant for the Type-S, so you would need to swap your rear bumper to fit the exhaust tips or get the A-Spec rear lip meant for the Type-S and cut your bumper to make some space for the tips.

As for checking out a used one, EvilVirus pretty much covered what you need to do.

So even if I get the a spec rear lip I’ll still need to cut into the bumper?

Most likely. The Type-S exhaust tips are about 3" each, meaning a width of a little more than 6" total, so the rear bumper and rear A-Spec lip were made accordingly. As well as any aftermarket exhaust meant for the Type-S.

You can measure your base tips, but I doubt they will be close to 6".

Does the base TL bumper fit with the type S rear lip or do I need the type S bumper also? And if it does fit the exhaust should fit just fine right?

If using the base bumper, you will need to measure and cut to fit quad exhaust like cprime explained. The rear type-s a-spec lip can be attach to the base bumper after the bumper has been cut to specs. You can also go with a type-s rear bumper (direct plug and play)......I have a brand new one for sale but you are probably not in Texas
