So, I've had my '06 TL for about a month and have enjoyed every minute of it. Now, the wheels are turning and I'm already thinking about upgrades to it. One of them is brakes. Upgrading to the Power Slot slotted rotors coupled with the Hawk HPS pads is my easy bolt-on upgrade. But, I'm also considering a big brake kit as well. This leads me to my question...

Is it possible to add the A-Spec rotors and calipers to my TL? Has anyone does this before? Is it cost effective? This would allow me to go from 11.8" to 12.2". Of course now I would have to consider 18" wheels to but that's ok.

Any thoughts on this?

 

u mean the front brake system of a 6MT TL? Aspec package doesnt come with a brakes upgrade.. on 5ATs Aspec only upgrades the pads not the rotors.

i dont think any 5ATer has put the 6mt brakes on the 5at.. just the big brake kits from other companys.

Also no one habecause it would require to much modification to the caliper, rotor etc.

You'd be better off going with Rotora, Brembo, Willwood, StopTech.....
