I tried to have the VAFC-II wired up back in July of 2004 at Hondaworks and the tech didn't feel comfortable completing the install after the initial engine startup. The controller was reading that the engine was at 5000 rpm when the car was in park and idling. The VTEC solenoid engaged and made a loud sound (something not good).
You guys can attempt to have it installed elsewhere but the tech who tried to install it on my car is fairly knowledgable about Honda motors because that's what he does everyday.

miguelitro, I think you can get ask the dealer for a copy of the wiring diagram. They usually always have the service manual. Once you identify the right wires to tap I think the vafc2/neo should work.

PS - You didn't ask "why" he's selling it so this seems an appropriate response.

What wirings are you looking for?
Here are the pinouts that would probably be what you need.
2006 TL automatic ECU:
...................................pinout color
Ignition Coil 1...............A20 YEL/GRN
Ignition Coil 2...............A19 BLU/RED
Ignition Coil 3...............A18 WHT/BLU
Ignition Coil 4...............A17 BRN
Ignition Coil 5...............A16 BLK/RED
Ignition Coil 6...............A15 BRN/WHT
Injector 1.....................A21 BRN
Injector 2.....................A31 RED
Injector 3.....................A30 BLU
Injector 4.....................A29 YEL
Injector 5.....................A28 BLK/RED
Injector 6.....................A27 WHT/BLU
VTEC solenoid..............A22 GRN/YEL
MAP sensor..................C5 GRN/RED
Crank sensor...............B17 BLU
Cam sensor.................B8 YEL
Knock sensor...............B6 RED/BLU
IAT sensor...................A5 RED/YEL
Speed sensor..............B19 BLU
Pedal position sensor..D3 RED/BLU
Ignition........................D6 BLK/GRN
Ground........................A1 BLK
Sensor Ground............D7 GRN
As far as I know the VAFC needs a RPM signal which our ECU does not have.

i know i am a newbie, but i do know a little bit about VTEC controllers from my last two Hondas (turbo del Sol w/ B18 swap and '01 Prelude tuned by King Motorsports). The VTEC controllers I used, I did not hardwire. I used a plug-n-play harness from Boomslang Fabrication. I had a VAFC-II in both, and on Boomslang's website, they list a harness for the 03-06 Accord, and so if it works for them and our comnputers are the same/similar, doesn't that mean it could work for our 3G TL from 04-06?

I know how different the B, D, and H series motors are from the J, but technically, if the Boomslang harness works in the 7th gen accords, it should theoretically work in the TL
