What size of Pipe
I'm thinking about adding some Borla's and need to know what size pipe is being run to the mufflers. I heard 3 inch is good but can reduce torque. Any suggestions.

I'm in the process now of going through a Dynomax resonator and a pair of Magnaflows.
The stock pipe coming out of the 3rd cat looks to be 2.25". I am running 2.5" from there, into a 2.5" resonator up to the Y-pipe. From the Y outputs are 2.25" for the rest of the run.
The stock piping on the 06 is really small and I am concerned about the loss of torque, but I've already got all the parts so I am going to try it anyway.
I wanted to keep the stock exhaust whole for resale reasons, but if the results are not good, I'll use parts from both to make it work.
It's taking me a long time since I am piecing it together with overlap joints and welding each joint because I also wanted the experience of welding. Doing 16ga overlaps is a piece of cake. It's not going to look like a comptech in the end but I'm gonna paint it all black so it won't look that bad.
It's going to cost me a comptech in the end but I have a welder, impact gun, pipe spreader and experience along with the cat-back.

the N/A diameter is 60mm (which is in between 2.25 and 2.5)... pm me if you need any parts for your exhaust and with questions... I have tons of stuff left over
ps. 60mm = ~2.36
