Are you planning in keeping the tips seperate for a true quad setup, or will they be cosmetic like the porsche? If the tips are divided and meet at the tail, like I told you before, you won't be able to fill the orders since many people will be interested in such a unique setup

Ps. The tubing from the cat to the y pipe will remain unchanged? Would that make this project easier for production purposes?

As long as it fits the RJ tail. Have you thought about square quads?

Nah. I don't care for that setup.

A single square or oval would look cooler.

angled up JDM style the bellow style half an inch apart 3" tips each, 6.9" from left to right clears the base lip easy, the angle will allow for room to spare

Nah...square/rectangular please!

If they are going to try and fit quad tip ovals you're going to have to watch the diameter as they will melt the bumper.

even though i already have ATLP quads, thought id chime in...

If i still had the base rear, i would def prefer squared tips with rounded edges using a similiar muffler + tip design as the quads, meaning angled mufflers + LONG single tips.

IMHO this look is very VIP, if you check out most VIP cars, they run these kind of set ups (long tips angled mufflers). you guys might not be into VIP but i for one think it's sex

Come on aznbo187...u c what every1 wants: single square outlet like our stockers. Just use the ATLP plumbing for the rest.

We want a sleeper setup--nothing crazy...

Tough crowd.

I'll see. I'm limited to the selection of square tips because we do such limited orders.

On the good news, I'm really happy with the results and the way the ATLP J-pipe turned out.

I'm with the square tip crowd. I like the look of the stock tips, and have been wondering when someone was going to come out with the square tip exhaust. I'm definitely in though, and for the J-pipe.

Maybe someone can contact Thermal, Comptech, Mugen, HKS, or Tanabe. We could use the cat-back plumbing from the ATLP and maybe just have one of those guys make the square tip mufflers.

What do you guys think?

I'm going to mount up some round tips early next week and see what works.

There are a plethora of square tips available, as well as round tips. Most of them are generic overseas stuff though...not really my flav.

in the interim let's see some trapezoid/square tips aznbo!!!

out of curiosity there's no way to make the same exact trapezoid and just have the entire thing be the "hole"/outlet as opposed to the current one that is basically trapezoidal and just small holes with everything filled in? (did that make sense? I'm taking meds and i'm probably high atm)

There is. It's just you have to take into consideration that this isn't a mass produced unit. Meaning if it's an irregular shape, we have to develop a new set of tools just for this model. If only 20 people are interested, then that additional tooling cost will be reflected onto those 20 units making it more for those people.

I don't want to bore you guys with all the "technicals" but that's just something I want to let you guys know. But ultimately, if nothing looks as good as the oddball shapes..that's what it will be. Quality over quantity.

Aznbo187...Just a suggestion but what do you think of Remus tips...I think those look really clean how the exhaust is black so you can see all that chrome from tbe back and then you have clean chromed tipped tips sticking out of the back. I know it may be a conservative look but its really tasteful. Remus makes a lot of square style tips also. I think this would be sick.

http://www.remusexhaustshop.com/seri...549-p-531.html

Not exactly this style but u can exchange the dual for a single hexagonal tip that mates the base. THIS would be perfect!

Remus makes nice products. I've considered the black paint, which can be done but I think it's a bit overly conservative. Another reason why I stuck with the matte finish for the face (polished canister/tips) is so that it will accompany the persona of the TL having a classy look.

Not to mention, it's also not legal to have a polished exhaust canister face in Europe. =P

Remus looks good.

Just an idea--maybe Remus or ATLP or someone can offer it to Acura as an A-Spec exhaust so it can be mass produced.

Back on topic: trapazoidal/square/rectangular tips ARE possible!
