Unpopular opinion?
I'm new to the forums and I've been looking at a lot of threads but I seem to prefer the squared exhausts of the Base TL and the Type-S rims compared to the A-SPEC wheels. Just wanting to see if anyone else has tastes similar to me.
Just bought my car on Valentine's day but I have a lot of plans for it and I hope to keep this car for a very long time! I'm also happy to be a part of this helpful and friendly community!

I've seen the ATLP also but I'm not too keen on it, it's like squared from the sides but quad circular from behind...
I like the factory squared for some reason...which while we are on this exhaust topic, would I be able to say, do an exhaust on the car (Ex. RV6's true duals) but keep my factory tips?

Originally I loved the way the base exhaust looked when paired with the rear Aspec kit...
Eventually I realized how much meaner and more aggressive a quad exhaust+type-S aspec looks and jumped at the chance when I got rear ended
I've always liked the Type-S wheels too. I know some people call them ugly waffles but Its whatever. I would stick with them if they were 18s. I've owned a few sets of Type-S wheels...I always get bored of them and sell em' when I get a good offer.

The Type S OEM exhaust looks perfect!!
As for the Type S wheels I personally like them, but I do wish they were maybe an 18" wheel instead. What I like most about them is the dark gray color. I love dark gray colored wheels (not black).

^ you also probably hate lowered suspensions and body kits too, dont you...just say it
I dont like the type-s wheels because they look tiny. They are small, but the pattern just amplifies that. They really should have lowered the type-s and given it 18's stock, but whatever.
Enjoy your honeycombs sir!

Wow way to take MY opinion and throw it way out of proportion. This is an OPINION thread. All because I hate the roof spoiler.
P.S. I don't have a Type-S.

OP, you clearly have excellent taste! I have never been a fan of the a-spec wheels either. The type s wheels look much better but both options are heavy since they are cast. Try finding some lightweight aftermarket wheels, I got lucky and found some 18x8 wedssport tc005 which weigh 17.7 lbs compared to 27 lbs for the aspecs.
I also prefer the clean lines of the TL without all of the plastic spoilers stuck on. A bunch of dirt will get trapped under the spoilers which will scratch your paint, and the paint on spoilers usually does not match the paint on your car well. I actually removed my trunk aspec lip spoiler and prefer the "clean" look. I should have taken a pic so you could see how much dirt and sand was trapped under there.

Thanks Stealth, I actually ordered a set of rims last week waiting on them as we speak, I never intended on getting the OEM rims, just thought stock for stock the Type-S rims looked better than the A-Specs.

I also preferred my stock 5 spokes to the aspec wheels. I had type s wheels on my car for 2 years and loved the way they looked. I never thought I would sell them until I found my weds. The weds look very similar but they are 18's and forged making them lighter weight too. You can see them in my avatar.

Type-s waffles better then a-specs? gtfo lol
No aspec lips better then a-spec lips? gtfo #2
And if you do a good job putting the double sided tape down, you won't get much dust under it. And even if you do get some dirt under it, the damage caused could be cured in 5 minutes with a RO and some good compound.

Yeah, I saw your thread a while back, I like them
SocalTL, what's the difference in the ATLP vs another roof spoiler?
Woah woah woah, I never said that, A-Spec body kit looks sic, I plan on getting it.

I dont like the type-s wheels because they look tiny. They are small, but the pattern just amplifies that. They really should have lowered the type-s and given it 18's stock, but whatever. (just a general statement about Type-S's and what they could have done to make them better...nothing personal)
Enjoy your honeycombs sir!

Nope, I actually dislike the whole body kit. Sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings.
Reasons why:
1. Added weight
2. Paint never seems to be a perfect match
3. Dirt, sand, and everything else that gets trapped under the spoilers causing damage to your paint. If you don't believe me, remove it and see what lurking under there if you are brave enough.
4. Cost - would rather spend money on anything else
It's not a bad looking kit, but the idea of slapping some additional plastic on my car with double sided tape just does not appeal to me.
