Trying to piece together a Magnaflow exhaust

Hey,

I'm trying to research into exhausts, as all my mods are currently aesthetics.

From what I'm reading, the shorter the case length, the louder the sound.

Looking through Magnaflow's catalog, it seems for 2.25 IN and 2.25 OUT, 11 inches is the shortest case length, and the 11365 is the one that fits the bill.

As for the resonator, I'm wondering what will give me a loud sound at idle, but not much drone while driving.
I'm thinking of the Magnaflow 10416 (14 inch case length), or the Dynomax 24235 (18 inch case length) or the Dynomax 24215 (12 inch case length).

Technically, the 24215 should give me the loudest sound, right?

I'm listening to this video and I hate how it seems like there's no sound right when he lets off the gas pedal.

Thoughts?

11365 with the 18 inch magnaflow resonator is what I think I'm running. It has been 9 years but that sounds about right. Remove the mid-muffler.

After the car is warmed up (sounds like it was already warmed up in the video), I don't think you have a whole lot of volume exiting the pipes because there's not much exhaust flow. However, on a cold start I would think the video above would have more volume. Mine certainly does. But even at warm idle, you can tell the exhaust has a performance sound vs. the staged exhaust.

My setup is RV6v3 jpipe> OEM resonator> MM delete> 11365 magnaflows. If you just start with an exhaust configuration, and then add a jpipe or other HP goodies, then the volume and tone will change to some extent as well. Here have been my exhaust setups:
1) RV6v3 jpipe
2) Add MM delete (stage 1)
3) Swap OEM resonator for Dynomax 24235 (18") (not much diff vs. Stage 1)
4) Add magnaflow mufflers 11365 - definitely sounds better and louder, notice some cabin noise reminds you that the exhaust is there, but certainly not overpowering or inhibiting conversation.
5) Replace dynomax resonator with OEM resonator - I like this combo best (Dynomax replaced because it started pinging becasue of internal weld failing)

Here's my dyno run with the latest (and final) setup:
