Tools needed to install catback system
Hi AZ members,
I have just placed order for xlr8 quad catback exhaust system and i would like to know some necessary tools to remove/install catback.
What are the bult sizes to remove the stock exhaust and new bult sizes for installing new exhuast.
Additionally, is air compressor mandatory to have in order to install ?
I was just planning to use torque wrench.....but i think the bults are very rusty since i have NeVER touched them before....
Any thoughts are appreciated !!

it sounds like this is your first diy project and to top it off, you dont have any tools.
you will need a range of sockets. from 17mm to 19mm.
if rusty, you'll need to either soak in PB blaster, torch, or drill out.
these are all common DIY tools and if you dont have, you'll have trouble.
air compressor is NOT necessary, however; like all DIY projects, makes it easier.

Here is a tip that few (if any) people know...
The installation and removal of the hangers into/out of the rubber isolators can be super easy if you have the right stuff.
Armor All multi-purpose cleaner is the ticket. User this generously on the hanger and hole in the isolator. The hangers will slip in/out with little effort. Do NOT use any type of lubricant such as WD-40 because it won't wash away. The Armor All cleaner is water soluble, so it can be washed off easily. This cleaner is super slippery and works totally kick-ass. You can also use this cleaner to wash the engine bay (don't get it on the belt). Works great even though Armor All markets it for interior cleaning.

Soak all nuts and bolts in PB Blaster, (as previously stated) several times, several days in advance. A torque wrench is used to properly tighten bolts to spec, not to loosen them. And sorry, I don't remember the sizes. They're gonna be a bitch, considering the car is at least seven years old. I did mine in '08, when it was only two years old and it was a bitch then.
