TL's turbo, twin turbo or supercharger. What's best, and where to buy it!

My coworker has the opportunity to buy a mint blue 2004 TL that needs an engine for $1000k...

Doesn't the intake/exhaust manifold bolt up to a turbo pretty easily on a J series?

I don't think there is a V style engine from any maker in the world which easily lends itself to turbocharging.

The intake manifold would bolt up to a CT Supercharger (MP62) with an adaptor plate. But you would have to cut a hole in your hood like on an American muscle car.

Should really just use one of those electric eBay turbos. Easy install and cheap! Pretty much work the same way

Besides, who doesn't want 450hp to a FWD car?

I want 450hp to a FWD car. The TL is a dream at that power level.

Here is what it might feel like.

It was slow, due to no traction inside the engine.

Supercharger

Supercharger is better for quarter mile, get merc racing supercharger will add 350 hp, not tonthe ground but way more efficient than turbo for the streets and even track really.

Sorry, there isn't a supercharger made anywhere which is anywhere near as efficient as a turbocharger.

Yes

turbos dont put out much horsepower and superchargers way better for quarter mile a turbo builds up its boost at the end of a quarter mile. I'd rather have more Horsepower.

That thread is so bunk, even Gatr posting stupid shit in it.. thinking extra dirt from a CAI will brick an engine and cost 6k to replace

Also a good brand of Turbocharger get to map it out on the Hondata Flashpro. Just need some good insite and ideas. I will get 19 in rims and eibach pro kit before turbo as well so it wont be driving outta control. Just need someone to help me figure out a good plan and brands to get this Acura Tl Type S with massive power. Sorry if made this confusing. Thanks I love the insite I see on this site so figured would ask.

Your posts read like they were written by a teenager. Go do some research on your own and then come back with questions before we all waste our time explaining the basics to someone who probably isn't going to turbo or supercharge anything ever. Also, punctuation and spelling are kind of important...

Plus teh superdupercharger is wayyyyyy better for teh 400 metars sprints, no boost already 0-60 in 4 seconds (catback), superchargers is instant power probaly 0-60 in -4 seconds

I'm still laughing at this post. My turbos must be broken because they spool up in a lot less than a quarter of a mile
