The first two days the drone was present. Since then, it's barely noticable. I'm sure there is more break in time, so i'm assuming the drone will go completely away.

Sorry to sound too much like a noob, but what exactly is "drone"? I've never known.

Josh, can you chime in please?
The exhaust system weighs about 60-65 lbs; the stock system has a huge mid muffler which causes it to weigh more. There is no way the exhaust system lowered your car a half an inch; it's probably just your eyes playing tricks on you.

Drone is low end exhaust resonance; the TL suffers from drone with an aftermarket exhaust b/c the low speed exhaust can't escape quickly enough. That is why when you give it gas the drone goes away. Adding high flow cats, j-pipes, etc all help reduce the "drone" or you can add a large mid muffler like the factory system to reduce the "drone".

Adding test pipe which is resonated, would it help to cut down the drone to min on a exlr8 non res base?

You all just inspired me to get a CT xhaust, and i was NOT even consdering adding an exhaust to my car...Lol. I love how a g35 sounds and I dont want drone, so this was a sureshot for me...My question...Do i just buy a Catback from CT, and thats all? Or is it some kind of header back complete system.

^^^our car doesnt have headers! closest mod to headers we can do are e-shift pro-cats or RV6 pre-cat deletes in which either will yield at least 20 whp

You may want to consider the adding one new component at a time. This will allow you the opportunity to better realize the effects of each new aftermarket component.

It would be great if you can see/hear some of these mods on others vehicles before making your investment.

When I run my 71 it is a reminder not to ever think about removing the pre-cats on my TL... the exhaust is nasty.

^^^by removing the OEM cats and installing pre-cat deletes the tone of the exhaust changes drastically. defintely louder and a bit more raspy in some colder conditons. all of these symptoms were experiences with the CT catback tho.

Guys stop beating on the greddy, its not a fart can exhaust like a civic. Mine sounds sick. If I was worried about how much noise I made I would've left it stock. Clearly I'm after performance. Any race car or performance car has an aggresive note. It's like adding performace suspension but complaining about the stiff ride for that just stay stock. Either u go in or just keep it as a high end grocery getter. Me I choose to become one with my car and make it perform as one with me as I push it to the limits. Who cares how it sounds when that guy in the boxter porshe jaw drops as I blow the doors off his high end statis symbol snail LOL!

Can someone tell me if a Comptech Exhaust with a Aero Resonator lowers the sound or increase the sound or make it better? I'm buying one used with a Aero resonator and want to know whats the difference? The original resonator on the exhaust is gone I believe

^^^not sure what the aero resonator does exactly to ur setup but the original CT exhaust comes with a mid-muffler and resonated exhaust tips for noise control. It never had a resonator to my knowledge.
