Is there only one member with NOS so far?

I read a post a while back http://www.acura-tl.com/forums/showt...hlight=nitrous

Is MGOKOOL the only one that has dared to put the NOS in our cars?

I really would rather do this than a Supercharger.

Who wants to get it done with me in South Florida? Maybe we can get a discount and a free Dyno run before and after!

well guys...i've purchased a GTECH Pro meter and had it in my car. I did one stock run and compared it to the dyno from Injen's website and it was almost on the money; My WHP was slightly lower than injens, I'm assuming thats because of the 19"chromes and the added weight of the stereo in the trunk.

My stock run was:

WHP: 198.1hp
WTQ: 188tq

With NOS:

WHP: 269hp
WTQ: 299tq

0-60: 5.3sec spinning first in an automatic with TCS off.

I'll post some screen shots sometim tomorrow...its pretty cool, shows the RPM band and all the cool things!

PS: It's insanely quick!!!

WOW!! 5.3 seconds!

That is almost as fast as my NSX! You rock man!

I just wish you lived close so I could PAY you to install the same kit in my car.

How is the engine holding up? Any sign of damage so far? How about the tranny?

At least it is easier to remove the NOS is you have to take the car in for some warranty work than a Supercharger.

well, i was just comparing the runs again...correction it was 5.8sec's spinning...anyways...walking on M3's all day...M5's are a joke...its nice when some cars pull up next to you thinking they'll spank another Honda and get their @$$ handed to them

Anyways, the motor is holding up great!! No complalints here...Check engine light came on once...but after driving around for 20 mins...it went away...never came back since. Motor is quiet as the day I drove her home...Tranny, definately cant complain. Only thing with the tranny, once or twice when I sprayed it, and let the rev limiter bounce of the redline, the tranny was stuck in second and didnt up shift or downshift until the car came under 25mph....hmmmm go figure that... But other than that...its working great!! Hopefully to break the 300hp to the wheels this weekend....and since GTech is a little off...showing stock to be a little lower than averege, im assuming that I'm not sitting too far from the 300whp mark...

well, you can say that...If some idiot pulls next to me at 60mph, I spray and just take off on him...its running approx. 100shot: thats about 100hp instant hp at the push of a button (volume down on steering wheel).

I believe you can hit 0-60 under 5s if u were on slick tires. Good start anyway and keep us posted of the results.

How do you like the GTECH Pro? How user-friendly and accurate is it? I am thinking to get one but want to hear more impressions.

The GTECH pro meter is a cool gadget...its very user friendly and no wiring...just plugs into your cigarette lighter...setting up process will take a few mins i took about 20mins...but I wanted to get the RPM's the closest to the stock tach as I could've gotten it. Has a really cool little shift light on it...built in "christmas tree" if you want to practice your launches for the track...and synching it with your PC is very simple...cool, user friendly graphs...pretty accurate in my opinion.. +\- should be more around 3-5hp...IMO!

overall: A++
