in the mean time, I wanna mod the TL more, but I also understand that the Auto FWD has a lotttt of limitations and adding power to the TL gets $$$ very soon....plus, I want to put the rear seats back in so the wifey and kid can come in my car....we have been driving the wifey's car around EVERYWHERE
i am in a huge dilemma right now....however, I payed for something which should come in by Wednesday....also got something from Jeremy. I need to replace my front Ingalls ball joints and am thinking of going with Skunk2...need to adjust the exhaust, install front moog endlinks, Type S sway bar and energy grease-able bushings....
well because you speed all the time

the reason I ask is, I know a GTR is far fetched....first we gonna get a SUV (and I dont wanna pay more than 20-25K for that, since the kids are gonna poop, throw up, etc in that)...then to replace wifey's sedan for a decently fast sedan (I wanna get the TESLA S) but I will be more comfy with the wifey driving an AWD (so maybe a bimmer 5)....finally my race car LOL....

Id love a Tesla. It is Beautiful. My next car is a hard one. Unless Acura comes out with a version of the TL that is Hot or really makes me want it ill either go Genesis or A6. Ill replace the wifes Expedition with a Flex V6 Ecoboost and mod that to make 450+ hp

Matt and I went to the Ford dealership and checked out the Flex and I love the space they have to offer....but the only thing is, I am not sure if I want 450hp to haul my kids around LOL....
The Genesis is an amazing car...I was taking to our neighbors who own a Genny and they love it....I think Hyundai (along with Kia) is definitely headed in the right direction....Acura, I think is done for me....the line up has nothing to offer

As for the power..........You have a spare tire in your car dont you? Just because you have it doesnt mean you have to use it. You only use it when its needed (and for me 450hp would be used daily
In my opinion, Hyundai has jumped above Acura (with the Equus and Genesis) as a competitor to the Germans. My dad has a 10 Genesis with 160k miles on it. The thing is as solid as the day he bought it. No creaks, rattles, everything still works the way it did when he bought it. Hell the leather looks great and he hasnt done a thing to maintain the interior.

what I meant is, rather than spending 35-40K on a used Ecoboost Flex plus another 4-5K modding it, I rather buy a 20-25K minivan/suv aka poop and puke machine for the kids and get a BMW 550i xdrive or Audi S6 as the family sedan (yeah 450hp in both + AWD + dual clutch transmission)....i like that idea better
however, I think I have made up my mind, that am gonna keep the TL for another 5-6 years, so I will be going the FI route to reach my goal of 350-360whp....I think I will be turbo-ing her in this year into the next

Brand new they are for a awd ecoboost (42k). Used ones can be had in the 20's though. Put just a tune(r) from Livernois and you are looking at some serious hp #'s for a 7 seat people mover.
Edit: Found one @ your fav place Anil...
http://www.carmax.com/enus/view-car/...results%20page
So if carmax is high on price you should be able to find one for 22k

Matt, I think the one you linked is only a 3.5 V6 and not an Ecoboost...Ecoboost get $$$ very quick, here is an example:
2011, Titanium, Ecoboost, 70K miles for 28K
http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...64155494&Log=0
If you build an Ecoboost, the limited one, starts at 43K...I just configured one and decently equipped comes to 47-48K...so am guessing if I go for a year or 2 old, low miles, it will be around 35K (Matt, I think we saw a few around that price at the Ford dealer...they were certified too)....I dont mind getting a 6 year old Honda...but not sure if I wanna get a 6 year old Ford...
When my parents come down here, am gonna have them sit in either car and see which one is easier for them to get in and out off...
also I dont think we need an SUV until we plan for a second kid....until then, we gonna just use a sedan....

I didnt see the pix It says ECOBOOST on the trunk as well
I FAIL
either way, that is 4 years old and I hate the dash....I like the dash on the 2013+ models (isnt that when they changed to the full touch dash or something)?

I will be honest, am not a fan of ford, but they have been doing well....I will be doing my research, but that wont come for another 2 odd years....first step to my perfect garage is, replacing Saritha's car with a better sedan
Her car is great, works well, gives great gas mileage...has a 3.0 V6, so its not far off from the TL and it is effin smooth (arent all Lexus made that way )
We have around 117K on the odo...funny, when I met her in late 2009, she had 92K on the car....when we started going out in mid 2010, 95K....hell, until she was ~30weeks preggers (in mid 2013) she had 105K on the car....but in the past 8 months we put 12K on her car and barely 5K on mine LOL

and I might take u up on that offer
in the mean time, I had a little exhaust rattle and took it to a shop since I dont have a torch or a welder to either weld in a hanger or heat and bend existing hangers...
the exhaust is sitting very close to the rear frame and I get some rattle when I am around 3500rpm to 3700rpm....buggssss me....
also, the front end links were rusty and seized, I had the shop torch and cut the OEM endlinks and I installed the moog end links right there....I dont fee any handling difference...switching the rear out for MOOG, the car felt very planted....
Also, I bought the CF hood for a great deal...the guy shipped it out and it arrived on Thursday. The hood has a clear bra on it but there were some blemishes and some shipping damage to the clear bra...the seller was nice enough to order a new clear bra for me....
Steven had come over the help me put the hood on and we noticed that the hood doesnt fit like OEM. it latches fine but doesnt LOCK in...also seemed like it had a little bow in the middle also as if you had a ratchet with an extended socket sitting....
I took some pix and send it to the seller...we are trying to contact the manufacturer to get a replacement....the hood was an easy 15-16lbs lighter than OEM and looked mighty good....
Here are some quick shots from the phone...sorry for the dirty car but all the melting snow got me
