Im finished with the final tune. Good news and bad news. Good news is it drives soo good. Bad news is my belt is still slipping. 2lbs of boost with a bad tensioner that i thought i fixed by tourqing it down. I was able to run the car soo hard and my foot was on The pedal like theres no tomorrow. My wheel hop is insane even with michelin pilot sport tires. I gain 65 lbs of tq in the mid range. I lost 6 hp in hp because timing n fuel was pulled for system to rich codes. I really need a new tensioner.

its funny how a bit of rain every couple years makes everyone in socal all scared. ppl in east coast deal with this every winter. I live in socal too and I have heard about so many accidents on the road today.

So i paid for a complete tune and boost is only at 2psi. Im done for now, im broke.. Talked to ct engineering and he thinks the belt stretched, n bypass might be bad. It drives good and im in the upper 270hp for an at type s. Im not the happiest guy here but the car drives safe

runnin a little boost

Even with the tensioner it will most likely not make much more boost than 2-3 psi. Here is why, the 3.2 with hi flow cats or deletes and a good cat back makes about 3.5 psi of boost with the sc. The 3.5 with its extra displacement requires more air at a given rpm and since the blower delivers a fixed amount of air per revolution, the psi the sc can make will be less.
That said the 3.5 psi the 3.2 makes with a free flowing exhaust gave the engine 100 WHP.

Are you positive it's belt slip? Are there a lot of belt dust around the pulleys area? My TSX is SC and when I did a full dyno, my tensioner was on the loose end. I mean right at the loose end of the tensioner mark and it still made full boost (5psi). So not sure if you can blame the tensioner just yet.
Also when you dynoed, if the belt was slipping I would think it'd make a distinct slipping noise.

I took a dodge challenger the other night n had him by a few cars. For 278 whp its pretty fast. Its kinda odd but im getting tq steer in the upper rpms in 2nd n 3rd gears

How much torque are you putting down?
You really shouldn't think that a supercharged TL-S putting down 278HP is "pretty fast." Something is wrong and you should look into it instead of settling for it. I didn't want to say it at first because I didn't want you to be more disappointed, but my supercharged TSX makes 280HP and it was also tuned at Church.

^^^ I totally agree
unless the dyno was reading wayyyy low, I dont think something is right...I have seen members with base 6mt put down 280's with all the bolt ons...
about torque steer, a lot depends on traction....in my fully bolted on Base 5AT, I used to get my tires spinning when VTEC kicks in, in 2nd gear at 50% throttle

^how did you get your vsa light to kick in going half throttle in 2nd? I dont think I can get my vsa to kick in even at full throttle in 2nd.
I do have max performance summer tires though and socal is always warm for good traction

kingkong_dav who was your tuner? Daniel or Sean? Either way, you should ask them what they think could be wrong. Did the tuner mention something off about the car when they were tuning it? Call them up. Or better go back in person and ask your tuner to to guess with his best knowledge what might be wrong. Show up in person because they are usually VERY busy tuning cars and have no time to pick up the phone. The assistants there will pick up the phone but what you really need to do is talk to the tuner. If they never mentioned anything wrong about the car, tell them your car is a TL-S and that horsepower wise the numbers are really low with the supercharger.
Church Automotive gets really busy so they might be hesitant to get you on the dyno to run the datalog but they will never brush you off like you're loitering or anything. Often they'll get in the car with you, hook up the hondata so they can datalog, and have you drive around to see what could be wrong. Keep telling them that the horsepower is really low and you want help to see what could be wrong.

I was running Max summer tires as well (Firestone Wide Oval Indy 500) but they were kinda old. Also I am 650lbs lighter than stock, I spin tires were easy....this is on 235 tires....if I do any more mods (heads/cams/etc), I think I will definitely be looking into 255 or even 275 tires...

The low boost is the power problem. 1psi is barely enough to make up for the supercharger drag.
Are you sure you don't have an underdrive crank pulley? On most superchargers you can ziptie the bypass closed and slowly get into the throttle to eliminate the bypass.

Hmm, I might have missed that he is just pushing 1psi of boost. I thought I read that he was pushing at around 2psi?

It's true what one poster said, that the supercharger is a fixed displacement so it's going to deliver less boost on the 3.5L but I can't imagine 1.4psi being right. At that hp I'm going to guess 1.4psi is right when you factor in the blower drag.
I would find out if the belt is slipping first, make sure it doesn't have an underdrive crank pulley and then use the high boost pulley assuming it's not slipping. I'm guessing it won't put you that much above the stock pulley with the 3.2L and stock exhaust. With methanol, the HBP would be perfect for the 3.5L. Without meth, Dave might be stuck here.

Im boosting 2.2lbs of boost at 6600 rpm. Average boost is 1.8lbs. I know i should hit over 300hp but time will tell. I can feel alot of tq but it dies out on the very top end. Its faster but not fast enough i will buy a new tensioner n run a cai again.

It was a 98-02 accord- something like this-
http://www.ebay.com/itm/STAINLESS-WA...-/380806136192
It just took 2 cuts of the piping, a 90 deg elbow at the TB, and I bought a bigger K&N filter for it. Very easy to do...
I also agree that something is wrong with your setup, I made 305 at the wheels (corrected) and mine is a 3.2 with no meth and the LBP

Seems like there must be something wrong, I rode in the ct engineering 2012 supercharged tl and that has the 3.7 liter and it was getting more than 2.2 lbs of boost...

I will diagnose the boost leak n belt slip friday. I think theres a tear in the coupler connecting the elbow to the sc outlet. The belt tenisoner is bad for sure n bypass vavle might be bad.. Little stuff luke belt stretch all is being looked at
