SRI Hydrolock?

HI guys,

I just got a K&N Typhoon Short Ram Intake and was wondering if you can ever hydrolock your car under certain circumstances like real bad rain. I am bit concerned that water that manage to get inside the hood would somehow wet the air filter and mess up the engine in the long run.
Any advise or comments would be greatly appreciated.

you got a short ram so don't worry about it. That will never happen unless your car is completely submerged under water

But if you wanna be safe you can always buy a hydroshield.

You really have to submerge the filter in water to get enough water in to hydrolock.
