After studying the exhaust route of the evo8 I predicted the exhaust path on the TL will be about the same as the evo's.

No cutting was performed. Only a clamp hanger was installed. The rear muffler is secured by zip ties. Test them out on your car!

Well, in some ways, this has been done already See quote above from ACCURATEin.

I thought you were a poor 18 year old? Why keep bringing up expensive projects when there is other things the money would be better spent on. A 2nd gen tl is not worth a titanium exhaust. Just save your money for that 6 speed swap.

I weld titanium for a living. Not as easy as you might think.

read carefully. i said someone with money and welding experience (none of those do i possess). and why would a 3g have more potential than a 2g performance wise. 3g seems bulkier to me. engine has headers cast onto the engine. basically same difficulty for end goals except 2g tl seems like itd be more aerodynamic

I don't know, 6MT available from the factory, aluminum front sub frame, better handling, higher compression, more displacement Type-S to Type-S. The only positive on the 2G is the head design.

And no, the 2G isn't more aerodynamic.

2g tl are suppose to be either aluminum or light front sub frame as well. better handling can come from stock suspension setup if your going to race itd be aftermarket. higher compression by.5 doesnt outdo the fact that the headers are cast onto the heads.. and the worse head design. and i can swap in a 6mt and im going to this summer. also there is definetly more frontal area for wind to hit on a 3g tl

Grab the 2 cars, install the same top of the line suspension on both...3g is going to win....But that's not important.

The head design isn't worse than 2g...get used to the cast in... THEY FLOW VERY WELL. You might just be used to the term "headers", as if its the re-invented wheel. For those looking to get max numbers out of N/A, they're going to have to dig into the motor, bottom, top, the whole thing, Header or PCD isn't going to be deciding factor. What gain difference is there from 2g headers, and 3g PCDs?

Now...I don't understand the rest of your post, so I can't comment. I just have no clue what you said

You can't just say a 3G is better and that's end of story you have no reasoning behind why a 3G would handle better with both having top of the line suspension... Those cast headers may flow very well but the fact is you can't modify them for aftermarket designs and such and it may be harder to fit things into te engine bay than being able to creat custom headers. So from what I've gathered is that both cars equally built will be about the same.... Please comment on aerodynamics too please

3G TL's have the stylish sports luxury sedan aerodynamic-look. The 2G on the other hand, doesn't have that sporty look. To me, they really resemble the look of the Vigor/Legend look of the early 90's. Thus, little aerodynamic was done since then.

You are trying to tell 3G people in the 3G forum that a 2g is better. That is like trying to convince Xbox fanboys ps3 is better. In these types of arguments facts go out the window and people think and reply based on emotions. The 2nd gen is better in some ways, but it is pointless and a waste of time trying to convince 3G owners that. This argument affects their emotions not rational thinking.

I bet 3G owners think the dbw is better also.

im going to play the i didnt start it card. and its a debate i dont think of this as being taken personal. you can learn many things from debates as long as you stay technical. yes i will admit that the 3g tl could be better off with 2 inches wider on body but its also 3 inches taller and seems much more short stiff nosed less engine bay space maybe? i agree this has gotten off topic but no ones going to die from it. i like debates i dont get emotionally involved and irrational i hate looking stupid i look up faqs and i like being fed real faqs even if im proven wrong. just my if anything i said makes sense. love you all
