So who's the 3G OEM powertrain management guy over here?

What's up everyone, I come to your territory seeking knowledge and wisdom from somebody who can help explain a few things to me here as I am a 2G TL-S owner and although I do automotive electrical work as a profession, I'm not all that familiar with the 3G TL electrical operations. That was one helluva run on...

So here's what I got:
I went out and bought a j35a8 the other day that was going to be used as a parts motor for another project I'm doing that involves converting a j35a6 over to 1st gen (j32a2) cam/crank sensor setup so that I can run it on a 1998 Accord existing harness/ECM. However, I had a thought about keeping the a8 as it is (electrically) and mating it to a 07-08 TL-S 6-speed so that I could use it in its factory form in the Accord instead...it's just in a sperm stage still and hasn't reached the egg yet.

So, I know starting in 04 and up Acura pretty much completely redesigned their electronics in many aspects for both efficiency and performance...not to mention increasing its luxury appeal. I'm aware that the ECM cannot be ran as it sits without being linked to a CAN witch I believe is held within the instrument cluster. Now, what I don't know is if that's where the powertrain management operation and functionality stops. I went through the diagrams and aside from two high/low circuits for the CAN system, everything else for the ECM appears to be very simple. My question is about the mulitplex integrated control unit (MICU) and its involvement with CAN network. Does it ONLY have anything to do with the operation of the ECM itself or is it mainly for the body control system? I see that the immobilizer unit is in direct communication with the ECM so that shouldn't be an issue other than installing the immobilizer components themselves and programming them.

Bottom line is what components will be required for me to install to allow the ECM to function properly? So far I know it's this:
1. Engine control module (ECM)
2. Instrument cluster (integrated CAN controller)
3. Immobilizer control unit (ICU)
4. Electronic throttle control module (DBW functionality)
5. Fuel pump control module (to keep ECM happy)

I noticed the ELD is where it always is in the under good fuse block and I'm possibly going to have to retrofit the ELD to the existing fuse block on the accord or is that possible?

If there's anything I missed or should consider please let me know. Thanks in advance for everyone's help and advice.
