Size of tubing for TL exhaust

Hey guys,
As far i have searched, i think the stock pipes on a TL are around 2" in diameter. I wanted to get a deeper tone and a little more gargle out of my set up so i was wondering what size pipe would be ideal for a 3g TL. Enough to gain power but not to big that ill lose low torque. Thanks!

set-up: ATLP Race Pipe, magnaflow resonator, HKS carbon Ti Exhaust, stock size pipes

Dude, it's 2.5" coming off the cats so use 2.5" from the cats back. That's what I did.

So I see above it states the stock exhaust is 2.25" what about after the split for the mufflers? What is the pipe diamere for the Ypipes? Thanks

Holy thread bump... People probably knew that by now but I guess it's good info to have around in case new people happen to stumble upon it.
