Which set up should I go with?

Gonna get an exhaust and I'm wondering should I go with ATLP or josh's? I think I'm gonna add a resonator because I want to be as quiet as possible... Are the gains and spec's the same? This is for my 08'..

if you would like a less aggressive exhaust, get the resonated xlr8 bb exhaust, atlp at the moment is not offering a resonated version, although there was mention of one to be released in the future

As a ATlP owner I would go with ATLP. There really is no drown but the car is louder. It is really controlable. I can dirve so I don't hear it at all but ofcourse that is taking it pretty slow.

Whats the best option if you wanna keep the Aspec base rear lip spoiler? Go custom?

I don't wait skinny tips and the CT ones are a little on the skinny side

ATLP without a doubt. Not to take anything away from the xlr8 exhaust, it's well made but the ATLP looks better.

So basically you don't actually want any exhaust....

just uninstall your stock one, you'll even lose some weight!

I ordered the precat deletes so I think it will be a little on the loud side... I'm looking in terms of performance wise.. are they pretty much identical? I like a stock look so I think josh's would be better i don't know.. If theres a problem with my j pipe fitting on then I think I'd go with ATLP..I just want a resonated one which I think he dosen't have..

Everything will fit together as everything is built to fit a 3G TL. Performance wise, gains will be extremely similar.

Why make a comment like that? Makes you seem like an idiot and a smart alec.

To the OP. I would highly recommend the ATLP as well, but I may seem slightly biased because I have one. Looks great and sounds great too. Only problem to some may be that you need the Rear Type-S Lip Kit, or the Type-S Bumper...

You won't have a fitment issue as all the ends are designed to be fit up to OEM parts.

Just go GReddy Evo II. You don't need the Type-S rear bumper for that. With the GReddy, you'll also get drone all day long (from 0-2.8K rpm), and it's loud all the way up to about 80 mph (since it's a straight-pipe), where it quiets back down.

Drone is what I don't want.. I have a lot of that in my 03'.. So will a resonator solve the problem? Does resonators affect performance?

So j/test pipe reduce drone? I just want to know if i do install a resonator will it affect performance.. So how much is the evoII? Does it include everything from the Test pipe to the exhaust tips? My 03' has a loud drone at idle and at low rpms so I don't want that.. It's ok if its loud at WOT but crusing i don't want the extra attention..

ATLP>excelerate hands down!

just by the pics alone you can tell the ATLP is a well made exhaust. the other one looks cheap and stockish IMO. reminds me of those taiwan specials you see on ebay :P

PLUS, mikes a great guy with far better customer service.

ATLP huh? That's what i figured but wanted to make sure.. Now the next thing is to see if I can put a resonator on one. I'm really good friends with the guy who owns golden auto muffler so i trust him putting on a resonator. Any recommendations? Should I add 1 or 2? will it affect performance?

I think you will find that many ppl are going to recommend what they have on their car. ATLP has a great exhaust with a great design, and his exhaust has been out much longer than our exhaust so there aren't as many ppl with the XLR8 exhaust on their TL's yet.

Both systems are of similar quality and hp; you just have to determine which tip and muffler style you like better.

In reference to the above post, the XLR8 exhaust is by no means cheap. It is made by Billy Boat for us, Excelerate Performance, right here in the USA and it costs me a lot to have made. Billy Boat makes exhausts for Corvettes, Porsches, BMW's, Audi, Hummers, Escalades, Vipers, and more so you can be certain of the quality.

1 aero 2.5" resonator will absolutely kill the drone, without sacrificing performance

The ideal sound I like is the G35 exhaust. Which of the two systems (XLR8 resinated or ATLP) would u guys say is the more similar to this??
