Second resonator behind J-pipe to get rid of drone?

I already have a Magnaflow resonator toward the rear of the exhaust, and I was wondering if anyone has used a resonator right behind the J-pipe. I've been looking at this
Vibrant 1793 resonator Vibrant 1793 resonator
?

I'm trying to get rid of a drone that I have pretty much exactly at 3000rpm.

Sure. Try it.

Exhaust noises is all experimentation.
People SPEND a lot of money just to get the sound they want.

and you cruise at 3k!??!?

NO, it's only when I accelerate through 3,000rpm. I suppose I could have called it more or a rasp than a drone really.

I'm not sure I'll be able to fit a resonator behind the J-pipe as the Magnaflow is on 18" behind the flange, and there's a slight bend in the tube.

Wouldn't a muffler get rid of drone more

Probably, but there's not a whole lot of room in the tunnel behind the J-pipe. Plus it'd probably stick out too low, and my J-pipe already scrapes the ground on occasion.

There is a spot for an OEM muffler behind the jpipe, unless you have something else there,

I suppose if I could find a small enough muffler I'd be able to mount it behind the J-pipe.

A Vibrant resonator is exactly at what I was looking at getting. I'm just not sure about their standard or ultra quite version.

Why can't you find one? The OEM muffler fits, there's even a designated spot for it.

If you want the resonator more, just buy the ultra and be done with the drone

too many or too long resonators will hurt the exhaust performance....

Well, the issue is when I had my custom exhaust done they moved the Magnaflow resonator essentially where the old mid muffler used to be. That's why I'm worried about trying to find a muffler to fit where the original resonator was.

Dynomax bullet or mini bullet should fit, and they're pretty much under $40.

I updated a thread I made by mistake and forgot this one existed. I updated both mine and this one in case someone in the future searches this topic, they can at least find an answer.

My Old Setup:
RV6 V3 J-pipe, mid muffler delete, dynomax resonator part # 24215 It had some rasp as well as some drone in 5th gear (AT) around 45-50 mph. The only way I can describe the sound is if you were to put a MT car in 5th gear doing 40mph. It was like a drone/bogging type sound with this resonator.

My New Setup:
RV6 V3 J-pipe, mid muffler delete, dynomax resonator part # 24235
Still has a nice tone to the exhaust, but the drone is gone in 5th gear as well as the rasp under normal and hard acceleration.

Here is a pic of all 3 resonators together: stock and the 2 dynomax

^^ Yes, that was the thread I made by mistake. I updated that as well as this thread with the same info, so people can avoid making the same mistake I did (creating another thread when one just like it already exists). I just wanted people no matter which thread they looked in to have an answer.

There is a better way, asked to have it locked.
