Second Dyno run...pretty happy with results.

Well, dynoed my fully bolted 06 Acura TL 5AT a second time, this time after removing my high flow 3rd cat and replacing with straight pipe and getting a fresh oil change (Motul Fully Synthetic). Got alot done to it so just read the list but I managed 230whp/211wtq. Probably making closer to 245whp as we all know Dynapacks give lower numbers than DynoJets...enjoy.

Mods -

AEM Cold Air Intake
ATLP V2 J-Pipe
JE Test Pipe
XLR8 Base Duals Cat-Back
RV6 Hi-Flow PreCat x2
2012 TL SH-AWD Intake Manifold
2013 ZDX Throttle Body

Good number for reference. I've got a 06 5AT as well and this would help in the future in case I ever try to do any bolt on power adders....not sure if I missed it but did you ever do a dyno run on the bone stock setup before the mods?

Dang. So maybe 20-30whp gain from full bolt-ons (with the 4G TL IM/TB as well).

Looks like this may be a bit too low of a $$/whp gain for me to attempt in the future....

Pulley definitely...runners can be debate-able on whether its truly bolt-on...but close to bolt-on-ish enough.

Keep us updated on the new whp numbers after runners and the pulleys

What are the REAL gains from dropping in the "Hype S" front and rear camshafts into my motor based on all the mods I have now? Im seriously considering those.

the cams provide 3-5whp at the most. It's a waste of money for how much they cost now. They used to be 250 for a set.

if you measure the gasket you will see that it is around 44-45mm while the runners are around 42-43mm. I see a lip around the runners in your picture. Also when you polish the runners the stuff from the EGR doesn't stick to the surface. And yeah the accord stuff doesn't fit the TL. The lower ports are different.

and I told you would be back for more power. It is addicting isn't it

The 08 accord lower runners are not compatible with the intake port shape pf your current heads. P&p your existing runners anx save some cash for an engine detail.

Hey thanks for putting up cost numbers...I know you didn't have to but this really can help others who are pondering look into the cost/benefit of what a setup like this would be.

Keep us updated.

Also were you able to do most of the bolt ons yourself? How much would labor costs be if you know/want to share?

Very interesting to see how monday's post-tune whp shows.

So this looks like a very complete list of a full bolt-on for the base TL.

Only thing is to see if there's a diff between the hi flow precats and the pre-cat delete ....the common wisdom is that PCDs will give fair amount of gains in the TL.

There is like a 2-5hp diff between PCDs and the HFPC from what I understand. It wasn't worth the loss in TQ (since I don't have much as it is). Not getting pulleys done either. Not cost effective in my case plus I'm damn near digging in my bank funds now lmao.

I REALLY hope I see 245whp on my next run after tune. That's really the end of the road for my car after that happens. Not turbo or supercharging. All motor. Gonna strip the interior a little more than I already have.

But gain hp, as far as comparing it to the HFPCs but don't quote me on that. That's one reason I avoided them. Plus my shop won't install because they're illegal.
