Cleaned up the windshield wiper bladder.

Reinstallarion of bladder successful, only keeping one quart in there for weight reduction and keeping the windshield wiper pump lubricated.

Looks good there

Bought brake fluid and power steering fluid to change in both TLs and the MDX.

Looks good

Nice!
Hopefully they will put a video on their facecreep page. It would be an interesting addition outside the Evo's and the GT-R's.
Here's to them getting all the available whp they can find in your black stallion sleeper.

The car is currently at English Racing. x6 two step colder iridium plugs at waiting to in. I ordered a second Hondata unit, which should be here by Wednesday.

It seems Hondata units have an lock/unlock limit of 10. Though this is not stated in any of their literature. I spoke with Javier(Manager) last week and after a meeting, their software engineers gave me one more lock/unlock. I opted to save my last lock/unlock for another time and ordered a new unit for Madame Blueberry!

Thanks Gatr, looking forward to completing phase one.

My new Hondata came in today. Seems it’s now able to be used on any model TL 2007+ instead of just 2007-2008 like before.

Great progress! Its amazing what you've accomplished so far, can't wait to see those dyno results!
How much you pay for your hondata? and where from?

I bought both units from VIP Performance in PDX. They are authorized Hondata dealers. $695 for the unit shipped to my door in 24 hours from Torrence California.
I am incorrect about my above post’s statement. It is the same Hondata unit as the first one.

Both! That way, in a pinch, I can use premium. Mr.Gerzina has been very helpful in helping me get all the details of he install worked out. Love that guy

How is your stallion Mike? Send us some vids! I love seeing your clean Rotrexed ride.

Jeremy, I won’t beat a V just yet. Baby steps.

This week I drove the MDX and somehow said wife could drive the TL-C though forgetting that I had reverted the ECU back to OEM tune.

She did utilize the TL and drove hard creating lean conditions. When I went to use to TL the engine light was on..
I uploaded the proper Comptech tune and had trouble accelerating. I kept hearing a rattling/popping even under minor loads. But if I gave it gas in neutral or idled it was fine.

I figured the plugs were bad and got replacement NGK BKR7EIX. Removing the Comptech S/C is a task. The neck of the supercharger goes 2mm away from the coil bolts of the anterior bank of spark plugs. To access them you must remove the entire Comptech supercharger. The task is made easier with prior experience. It turned out quite good. I enjoyed seeing the handy work the first S/C project.

I drove to cars and coffee Saturday morning with fouled plugs.

Remember when I just bought this?

Fouled?

Drives better than ever.

I joined the local racing club here. They do 7 track days a season at Portland International Raceway.

The plan these next two years is to get the TLS-R track ready:
Tires - Michelin pilot sport cup 2
Wheels - Volk 18x9.5 +22
Brakes - BBC Front/Rear
Damper - BC Racing(standard setup
Front Seats - Recaro
Steel cage
5-point seat belts
Sway bar set - x4 piece

I had changed the tune from supercharged tune to stock tune. Resulting in conditions where there was too much air and not enough fuel..

I am going to be that person.

You don't need any of that to go to the track, just a nice set of Hi performance brake pads and fresh brake fluid and your ready to hit the track, no need to wait 2 years.

I’ve got both of those tasks completed. Going to track it at least once this year. But those are the
mods I plan to have in order to feel fully fit for the track.

Here are the numbers fellas! We had to detune it due to stock clutch slipping. We took it to 340lbs/trq. That was all it could muster before slipping at peak torque.

Next mod is a SPEC clutch/flywheel to fully harness current power potential.

These numbers are as low as they could be on that wastegate spring.

Once the SPEC Clutch/Flywheel are installed, the car will be tuned closer to the 480whp range on E85(Safely on stock Block).

How many pounds of boost was it at before slipping? Almost 400 whp is still pretty awesome even with the clutch issues. I has a Spec stage 2 in my foxbody and never had any issues. My car made 365/385 and ran 11s. That clutch should treat you pretty well.

Definitely do a track day first before you go all in with mods. Consider oil cooling/baffling and keeping the power output not on kill.

I have an oil cooler ready to go!

Yes, it was was at 11psi. I will adjust it back down to 9-10psi.

Yes, the blower max is 15psi. I only got it tuned on pump because I we would have to tune it to 340WTQ regardless of the fuel used.

Will be running the stage 2 SPEC clutch and single mass flywheel.

I would otherwise be making 460-480whp at 10psi on E85 with the GBP Stave 3.5 kit on a 6MT J35.

Zeta, this is what I akin the Comptech removal to.

Thanks for being with me for the ride! Picking up the car from English Racing tomorrow! I’m so excited!! What new noises will it make? How will it stack up against the Comptech?

I bet the rotrex car will feel a lot better than the auto car unless the slipping clutch is really harsh. Enjoy the first drive let us know how it feels
