the time when i was running catless with my rv6 PCD's, 3rd cat delete labree jpipe with my comptech catback it was LOUD!! i had to add a 20 resonator to quiet that puppy down.
even with my current setup, rv6 PCD's. ATLP jpipe and xlr8 HFC its still pretty loud, but its a goood loud

I'd say it's a noticeable difference. Just based off the MUCH longer primaries, you should notice some low/midrange gain for sure. You may even see a couple more hp at the peak. Between the RV6 V2 and V3 however is a HUGE difference. I have the V1 and I can't wait to see what the longer primaries will do to my 1/4 mile time!

I know you already had a Jpipe before, but how does it feel now? Any ECU adjustments? Any updates on how it pulls since you've opened it up?

First thing you'll notice is that it substantially louder... I mentioned before it sounds like PCD but maybe toned down 50%. No rasp @ WOT, which is dope.
Pulls harder IMO. I love just getting on the pedal and getting pushed back into the seat. Car moved before but I definitely think low end is improved.
Haven't taken the car past 80MPH due to traffic etc but it gets up there in style (speed and exhaust note).
Looking forward to sound clips on cars with a non-res exhaust!

richie really out did himself this time around. unlike the V1, V2, no gripes whatsoever with the V3 for me

longer primaries is the key to unlocking more low to mid range umfff. peak hp/tq #'s over previous jpipes may not be that impressive, but were not lacking in that department. any kind of tq gains in the low end is always a welcome
at the time i installed my labree 3rd cat delete jpipe, i gained close to 25hp/25tq+ in the low to mid end on the dyno, over the stock unit O.0 (SC'd though)
trust me, this pipe wont dissapoint!

So is it safe to say that this is better performance wise than the ATLP V2? I'm buying the ATLP base exhaust very soon and was going to go ATLP all the way back, but now this has me thinking that this may be the better buy. I'm wondering if the ATLP company will be coming out with a V3?

The first post in this thread shows a dyno of this pipe on an otherwise stock auto TL, and the gains were impressive. And note as well that the dyno was done on a mustang dyno which reads approximately 11% low compared to a DynoJet.
Simply put, no other J-pipe currently made can compete.
More dynos will be up tomorrow...

It feels good!! I can tell it is there and the stock one is gone for sure! I think it will be much more noticable once I get my CAI installed later this week and have some air to actually push through it! I do have a slight bit of rasp at about 3100 to 3800 RPM but am pretty sure it will go away as the pipe breaks in and get a little carbon in it! The fitment is dead nuts PERFECT!! You can surely tell RV6/Richie put some R&D into this pipe!!

just a quick question. If I put this on my 07 TL-S, will I say OMG, nice, or meh. Is there a noticeable difference compared to stock? I just dont want to spend $450 for a mediocre jump in performance.

So after the meet Sunday & reading this thread I'm slowly starting to lean towards the RV6....I was planning on doing ATLP all the way. I have had my ATLP V2 quads installed for about a month now & need the Jpipe & HFC. I'm guessing all of you will recommend the RV6, I just dont need it more loud & raspy since I already get some drone around the 2k rpm band and I drive clients around constantly.

I have been running a Stage 3 setup and when I installed this RV6 pipe today it made very little difference in my exhaust note! I think you will be just fine!

Check the dyno, it gained 13hp/7wtq on a stock 5AT base model. On a stock 5AT Type S, that's over 15whp/10wtq. Those are only peak numbers...and especially, with an exhaust, which you already have, the whole low/midrange will feel much more enjoyable with the extra available torque.
