Rich, I placed my order for tha PCD on Wednesday. Should I expect them to be shipped soon or do you want to hold on to them and ship them with the exhaust when that is ready? I wasn't sure if we could save on shipping. Either way is fine for me just let me know.
Thanks

^ Ohh ya and the cabin reaks! but the perfomance gains were impressive.. the only thing i dont like is the zzz raspy sound before vtec and of coarse when u rev it up it doesnt sound to great i wonder if there is anyway to fix this?
#652
i hate rasp man just got these put on tonight and im really regretting it now because of the rasp
#653

Is there a difference in the cabin if you have the vents on fresh or recirculate? I really dint want the cabin to smell... I wonder if/when it is paired with the exhaust if the smell will subside.

I usually keep my vents on fresh. The mufflers and air intake are spaced a good distance apart. You only can only smell the exhaust when wind is blowing just right.

Judging from that video your 0-60 is ~8 seconds (starts at about 0:06 seconds, ends at 0:14 seconds). Granted a youtube video isn't the best for this, but it should still be roughly correct (give-or-take 0.5 seconds). Or am I just missing something?

2003 Accord Coupe V6

Hey, so I'm confused. This seems kind of slow to me. I really mean no offense by this, but I thought that the V6 Accord coupes were supposed to be faster than the TLs?

This is my car in 68 degree weather in much better conditions!

There aren't really any cons with the V3 jpipe you just bolt it on and go. It does remove the 3rd cat which doesn't affect the sound or smell. But if you're state does a visual inspection they might have a problem with it.

Yes, the precat deletes cause the smell and rasp. They give good gains but there are trade offs.

It depends. Once the high flow precats come out whenever that might be, would you be doing a package deal for those? Otherwise I will probably just pick up your Jpipe as soon as I hit 100k miles and my warranty is up.

How often are you really in the bathroom.

The install wasn't to bad. Two of the bolts on the 3rd cat were a real bitch to remove. I ended up having to get the sawzall and cut one of the bolts and the other PITA bolt I used a torch and heated it up and then use air to unbolt it. Everything else was super easy.
My review of this pipe is great. My car feels like it is just floating when I hit the gas. There is so much more power behind the throttle. The car seems to be driving easier as well. It is running at a lower RPM and as of right now I seem to be using less gas (until I go WOT). As for the noise factor... there is no added noise of any kind when I am driving at cruising speed. For all the guys who want to keep this from their wives... no problem, she will NEVER know (Unless you punch it with her in the passenger seat)
If you are thinking about getting this pipe, get it, don't think any more!!! So far, this is one of the best mods that I have ever done to my car.

Sorry, but i'm a novice to the techy talk,
But,
Does the PCD's cause the check engine light to come on? If yes, How would purchasing the high flow cats affect my emissions?

Awesome that is really cool of you Richie I'll be placing an order here soon

I am a bit new and the threads are pages long so please forgive me if this was answered. Will removing the main cat throw a code like it does in some other cars? I think I am sold on this mod because the T-S is just lacking about 40-50hp over what it needs to be more then adequate, and its amazing that these mods boost N/A performance so high over stock. I would want to replace the precats with hi-flo cats though and not straight thru but the V3 Jpipe looks like a real winner.
Thanks

The PCDs come with O2 simulators that keep the CEL from coming on. They would reduce the emissions a good amount but of course with high flow cats it wont be as clean as stock.

but if we just do the J-pipe, then no codes will be thrown and its just a visual inspection issue? How much gain in power is just the J-pipe with a CAI? So sorry if this is repeated info but theres alot of new Type S owners incl. myself and its tough to find all of this info and be sure your looking at a dyno for a type s if thats even available.
Thanks
