Rv6 Package + Stock Exhaust = Sleeper

Well that was cruising at 65 with cruise control, It was only for like 5 miles but I would have got a consistent 33-34 if I would have kept going.. You just gotta keep it at the speed limit, thats the hard part..
I dont remember what RPM is was but precats def help with gas milage..

^ That's what it will read as soon as you reach your cruising speed, put the cruise control on, then reset your Mid. I get the same, until traffic builds up to slow down and go. Then it goes down to 30 mpg. With spirited driving, I usually average 25. Opening everything up from intake to exhaust is a great benefit.

^Adrian so your saying that you have greddy piping and stock mufflers right?? IF so what is the diameter of the piping?
Or anyone can chime in on that.

I installed my RV6 j-pipe and resonated test pipe yesterday while the car was on 6 inch ramps, what a MAJOR PAIN. If I didnt have my buddies air tools it would have been IMPOSSABLE.
The front OEM J-pipe had 2 of the 3 bolts/nuts in it. When I too those 2 out, one of the bolts came completly out. I CANT get the nut off, I tried EVERYTHING. I couldnt put the bolt with the frozen/rusted nut back in because it was 1/16 inch off. I guess I will have to go to Acura and buy 2 NEW bolts. It does leak a little.

So there's definitely a smell there... what does it smell like? Burning gas? I'm just curious. And is it noticeable from the outside... like as in if I get pulled over will a cop notice the smell? I already got the J-pipe and test pipe and really thinking about these precats.

I ran into a similar problem except one of my front precat studs backed out about half way. Completely sheared off the stud threads trying to get it seated back into the precat flange so had to have a shop re-tap the flange and put a new stud in. You won't get that nut off. Like you said, just get a couple new studs and call it a day. Be glad they came all the way out, that's a much easier fix.

I met with Rich and got the RV6 J-pipe and test pipe for $330 total.
I don't think it made much diff in sound. I have the AEM V2 intake, Dynomax resonator and mid muff delete, that made a BIG diff in sound. I need a good Catback now.
