RV6 J-pipe On Sale
Hey Everyone,
I just spoke to Richie and he's having a pre-order sale on the 3G TL j-pipes. Whoever participates in this will have their j-pipe shipped near the end of this month. So it looks like waiting paid off after all!

Cheers!

Yup just need to wait ~ 2 weeks
The sale ends when we get them in stock. No code needed just order off the site. Order early, you dont want to miss this one.
From a Chicago Suburb. We are pretty centralized and get to most of the country and 2-4 days.

Is there any real performance gains below 2K RPM? I'd like some more torque at near idle speeds, as silly as that might sound, the car is rarely above 3K RPM.
How noticeable is this in terms of low end power, and sound levels, on an absolutely stock TL-S that will likely never receive any additional mods?

This jpipe removes the 3rd Cat.
IIRC, the 3rd Cat does not have a sensor.
Also, IIRC again, the 3rd Cat was put on the TL to drop it to ULEV (ultra low emission vehicle) rating. Removing the 3rd Cat moves it to a LEV (low emission vehicle) rating and I think is OK in most states.

this "loss of torque" is bullshit. and based off of butt dynos and feelings.
Just because the gains are felt MORE at the top end, DOESNT mean you lost torque at 2k RPM.
I always hated driving around at 2K rpm!
because Honda's have no low end torque at all.
the motor is a high revving motor which produces PEAK TQ at 5200 RPM.
After I added the Jpipe, the car was easier and peppier to drive at 2K rpm

Our STB is on sale and comes in different colors.

Nope there are no sensors on the jpipe. The 3rd cat is eliminated. However many have passed the "sniffer" test without the 3rd cat.

More on topic: I paid my invoice for Ceramic Coated PCD's+Resonator tonight!
I'm just hoping the resonator can tame the rasp I'll have with greddy exhaust and 0 cats haha

the longer primaries on the RV6 actually gain more in (common used for moving the power band to) the lower rpm....so you have more torque down low....dont get me wrong, it does gain power in the upper rpm range as well....
now if you would compare this to the shorter primaries on the ATLP jpipe, it move the power band to the higher rpms....so you will have less power increase in the lower rpm but more in the higher rpm.....
either way if i base my decision on the state....if the state you live in has strict emission laws, i would get ATLP so you can switch out the test pipe for the 3rd cat....but if you live in a state where emission laws are not that bad, then def Rv6 gets my vote

Hope that helps....

well any performance mod will not "lose" power....it will either move the powerband in the higher RPM or the lower RPM....
