where are these people getting the notion of a race pipe from!?

the race pipe was used back in the day, like 4-6 years ago.
BECAUSE, no one had integrated the jpipe with the race pipe.

NOW, we have two LATEST and GREATEST jpipes available from two companies.
XLR8 and RV6

this new jpipe gets rid of the 3rd cat.
So there is no need for a freaking race pipe.

If you get the V3 J-Pipe, it deletes the 3rd cat and it's all in one piece so no test/race pipe needed.

Just a word of warning. If you've removed your stock resonator and mid-muffler, and ad the J-pipe and PCD you'll definitely get some rasp.

I've got the PCD, J-pipe, all custom after that with a magnaflow resonator and magnaflow mufflers(I can't remember the part # but they're nearly identical in size to the stockers). I and have some pretty bad rasp around 3k, but other than that it sounds great. Especially when I let off the throttle I get that popping/gurgling sound.

Oddly enough when I cracked my V2 PCD and put the stock PCD back on the rasp went away. I always thought I needed another resonator, but who knows.

I would probably put some kind of resonator on to at least to help with the rasp. I'm actually considering putting a second resonator on my car.
