This might be a far stretch but after some research and multiple sound clips on Youtube, it's brought me to ask. Of course out of most of the available exhaust systems for the TL-S, I find the one that's out of production to be the best sounding lol with that being said, I'm reaching out to see if anyone has had any luck replicating it's exhaust note with other brands/similar setups? The performance gains seem to be relatively the same across the board, so that really isn't a primary concern for me. Mainly minimal rasp but an aggressive note such as the RV6. The particular video I found was running the duals with V3 j-pipe and HFPC's.

I liked the tone that gave as well. I'm thinking the quads with the ATLP V3 pipe and some HFPC's should replicate it somewhat; though I think RV6 still sells a J-pipe and HFPC.

No doubt Rich makes a good product as well. I would have opted for the true duals for functional reasons if it was still available. I bet if he message him he would consider a batch?

I mean I can reach out to him and see if there's any possibility. I would honestly prefer to do it right the first time if I'm gonna spend the cash; and based on all the clips and info i've gathered on them, these would be my ideal choice.

If someone does reach out and there's a possibility of Richie making a batch you can count me in. I've been waiting for the xlr8 exhaust to be back in stock but I've just been playing the waiting game and I would prefer the true duals if I had a choice.

I sent him a message just to test the waters. I wouldn't hold my breath as it has been discontinued for a while, but maybe if he sees enough interest in doing so from this thread he might be persuaded. I'd rather buy it right the first time than mix/match parts trying to replicate it.

I did the same. Got back a message they'd need 30 orders (at $1900 ea) to make it work.

I bet we’d really need 40+ verbal commitments to make 30 $ conversions. That seems like a lot.


my other thought is I’d be willing to buy the specs and set of shop drawings from rv6 and have my own made. I’m not sure what a drawing set like that would be worth though - $150-200. It would still come down to a custom exhaust build but the drawing set would help as a guide.

Yeah, I could see maybe 10 or 15 people at the absolute most committing to it. 30 people would be a hard ask.

Interesting. Yeah I doubt we'll get 30 people; I also wasn't personally looking to spend above 1500 for the exhaust alone. So, I'm unsure.

Maybe I'll get blasted for this, but the EndlessRPM V1.5 (version 1,5) Non Resonated has what I'm after...if I recall - $1,100. evidently the V2 version wasn't all that great?

personally I like RV6 but its no longer in production, ATLP would be the next choice but the quad tip stick out not angle like OEM. XLR8 has been a cluster in term of longevity, so OEM its nice and quite for me.

I emailed Rich at RV6 about a set yesterday. Like stated before in this thread, he would need 30 orders at $1900 to do it.

With the RV6 exhaust being discontinued my next choice would be XLR8 or endlessRPM. The ATLP sounds nice too but I personally don't like how much the tips stick out.

I know that XLR8 doesn't sell their exhausts right now at the moment, but I sent an email to Craig and he told me that they're still going to produce more systems for our cars. He's just waiting for the company that makes the exhausts for him to finish relocating to start taking orders. He also has a waitlist for them if you're interested.

My back-up choice after the RV6 exhaust, would be the Endless Rpm exhaust. The exhaust tips on the ATLP exhaust look fugly to me and I have heard about quality issues with the XLR8 exhaust. With the Endless exhaust, I also can't decide whether to go with the v1.5 or v2 model. I can't tell from videos which version is better.

def interested even though i have a v1 xlr8 exhaust on my car currently and an ATLP exhaust sitting in my garage haha. have had the xlr8 exhaust since 2011 but going to put on atlp to compare sound and looks (always liked atlp tips the least), then sell the one i like least.
if rv6 came back, i'd be interested and would sell my xlr8 and atlp

This will going nowhere lol, too many kids now these day complain "how expensive" the exhaust system is. Oh well will see how this play out and I might get a Hondata to add to this, oh Dave you gonna spend money this time.

Yeah, I doubt it will. It's more than I'm personally willing to spend right now, but I entirely understand his pricing on it. Still has to make a profit and it's a true dual system.
