1 - you would need a digital camra with movie recording feature

2 - upload the movie clip onto your cpu using a usb cable (should've came with camera)

3 - create an account on www.youtube.com, then upload your video to the site and post a link to that page here

hey guys i first had moth parts removed and i hated how it had a rasp around 2.5k rpms, now i just had teh magnaflow resonator 10416 put it and i think the sound is too weak for my taste.......iunno, call me crazy but i liked the sound wen i had both removed but the only thing that got to me was teh rasp, a little quieter than that would have been nice.....

i expected i was gona get that but one i installed the magnaflow, i think its too low.....

any ideas on wat part to add so i can get the sound i want but without the rasp and droning.....??

Try a smaller resonator. I might actually try that in the future. I love the sound I have now, but I wouldnt mind a bit more either.

You've got a 14" body. You cant get any shorter. I'd suggest looking into a dynomax resonator. I've only installed them on track cars so they offer minimal sound dampening. They are cheap as there isnt much to them. Wholesale was about 15 dollars, I'm sure you will be able to find some for not too much more than that.

And for the Dynomax, the ones I'm talking about our their "bullets." I wouldnt go too much shorter than the magnaflow, these things have minimal suppression -dynomax claims 1-2db quieter and I dont doubt that for a second.

midmuffler removal for comptech catback

I just cut out the midmuffler for my comptech catback and it sounds sooooooooooo much better. But then again I really didn't like the sound of the catback b/c i just thought it was weak. for around 2-3.2K rpm's the sound just got alot louder and deeper, after that the whine from the s/c kicks in so you can't really hear too much out of the exhaust. Those with C/T catback who want it louder do this!!

If this is a need I could post a clip of the sound.

Now to get rid of the comptech mufflers and replace them with some real exhausts (HKS univ TI)!!!!!!!

----BTW.. I'll be selling my comptech mufflers really soon, my new ones come in next week , if interested keep an eye in the black market or PM me-----

Thumbs up

got the mod done today, removed the mid muf, replaced the stock redonator with magnaflo.
sounds awsome
just like everyone said already, it sounds a lot like g35 which i happend to love.
it's not too loud and yet refined and distinguishable. i have AT and now i can hear the engine tone change when the gear changes. oh most importantly, my wife says it sound cool too and she is not even into cars.
it's even more fun to drive now. thx toall for sharing ur genious ideas with everyone else.
only downside was that i wasnt able to get it done for like 30 or 40 bux like everyone else did. i had to pay 90, but used stainless steel.
anyway, im going to try to get a sound clip up.

Its pretty mucha muffler but is a lot smaller and deals with the raspy sound more than the actual tone of the exhaust.

Very nice and deep for a second I feared for the life of that camera when u revved it. I just ordered my Magnaflow mufflers - should be on by next weekend. Did anyone else notice how freakin shiny that TL was - it was literally a mirror. Impressive son - keep it up.

Stock paint- no Zaino or anything. Just washed. I bought paint protection from the dealer (made by Vesco), and it shines that way without waxing.

So all you guys do is delete the mid muffler (replace w/ a straight pipe) and replace the stock resonator w/ a magnaflow one???

Does it effect performance?

so, im wondering if the two magnaflo rear mufflers made it louder.
and what are the specs on the rear mufflers?

Yes, they are Magnaflow 14362 mufflers, 4 x 9 x 11 w/2.25 offset inlet/outlet.
The resonator takes care of the "drone" is what Jeff @ hottexhaust told me. Thru hottexhaust, the mufflers are $87 each, minus the Acurazine discount. Inside the car, exhaust is pretty quiet. In the video you also hear the AEM CAI.

Got this done today. I had the Mid muffler removed and added the Magnaflow resonator 10416. While they were putting that on I had them move the mufflers out a bit so that the tips are a little closer to lining up with the rear a spec lip. Total: $90. As others have stated the sound is close to the G35. Inside the cabin it sounds great with the addition of the AEM CAI. Many people probably would'nt notice the difference in sound unless its pointed out. The sound fits the car very well.
