FSB or Strut Brace?

The FSB is supposedly a stone cold bitch to get to and replace.

meh, doesn't matter. Same part numbers Base and TL-S for the FSB & Strut bar.

Wrong...

TL-S:
51300-SEP-A21

TL:
51300-SEP-A01

The FSB for the TL-S solid, thus firmer... but you are correct about that stone cold bitch part. You have to drop the subframe to get it out.

I don't think anyones ever tried to replace it before.
Actros tried, and ended up removing the FSB completely... on a FWD car, it's actually the preffered handing setup. STIIF RSB with little to no FSB.

^If your subframe was droppped, would you do it? I assume they put a firmer FSB because the 3.5 weighs more. Would it be beneficial with added weight of the s/c? The only reason I ask is I am replacing my clutch in the near future. I also plan on putting in the motor mounts in at the same time.

Oops! Missed that. Should've just checked the New Release specs.

Good catch - thanks.

I think they installed it more for straight line stability...

If you plan to autocross... No.

If you plan for the occassional twisty, but mainly highway, AND have installed the rear Progress, sure.

Yea it is hard to remove and replace, what about the Sway bar right under the hood and rear sway bar. I see alot of people get the Progress auto rsb.
