Never had any problems with the SPC in the front; however, I had trouble with the rears and switched it out to the Ingalls kit, which replaces both lower arms on each side, as opposed to the SPC single upper arm replacement.

Gotthe noise fixed after the alignment. No more noise. However the mechanic said the SPC kit is not safe to be used for track, so I might eventually switch them back to stock or get some custom one made.

lookinco: Glad to see your car is running smoothly. I have a couple of questions for you. Did you install the HBP before your 3.5 swap? If you did, were there any problems?

His reasoning was that instead of one solid piece from stock, the camber kit now has a few movable parts which would become a weak link. Under hard cornering, it might shift and the stud/bolt might even break.

He is also speaking from his own racing experience.

When I had the HBP before the 3.5 swap, there were 2 CEL that popped up. One is the knock sensor and the other one is Cylinder 3 misfire detected.

i was also told this...but i still went ahead with the install...i think i might go back to the ball joint....but then again i dont want the tires to keep cutting so i'm not sure what to do..the mechanic was like how this isnt safe b/c it isnt a one piece design and it could shift or even come loose...but so far there has been no problems

Was wondering if the wheels were bought painted like that or if it was done after purchase. If they were bought, can you pm me the vendor?

Sorry guys, still no pictures. The weather has been absolutely terrible lately. It was raining so hard the shop was actually flooded. All the carpets had to be removed and dried.

There is currently a slight problem with my car which I am trying to have Acura fix it for me tomrorow. The VSA light and VSA indicator come on as soon as I hit 50km/h and it would not allow me to go over 3500rpm. I believe it has something to do with the steering angle sensor which had to be reset.

As for the wheels, it was done after I bought it.

it's coming.....we wanted to do the photoshop with the new rims. Plus the weather have been REALLY shitty lately, it's seriously POURING everyday.

I finally figured all the CEL and VSA code. No more code now. Will be arranging to get it tuned and see what wheel horse power it's making now. Then we will decide if we need bigger injectors with the high boost pulley. At full boost it's only making 3.5psi right now, but that's a good thing, the charged air will be cooler and will make more power.

I just did a few runs tonight, and the power actually caught me off guard. There seems to be more pull then when I had the high boost pulley with the 3.2 motor. Keep in mind it was wet outside and I was spinning 1st and 2nd all the way.

I know everyone is anxious to see some pics, but my car look exactly like a stock supercharged TL, so it doesn't look anything special. I will try to film some video which really shows what this TL can do, but have to wait for the weather to cooperate.

hahaha............I really want to give you guys an update. 2 Fridays ago, I went to the track but got there too late. Last friday (yesterday) I was all prepared to go, but it was pouring rain.

Anyways.........I am heading to california again and will be back in first week of may. Tuning will start AS SOON as I get back. Have all the stuff ready to go already.

Also, new wheels arrived and they will be going on as soon as I get back.

As for driving experience, I remember back then with the 3.2L engine and high boost pulley, I could stomp on the gas and the tires would barely spin. Now with the 3.5L engine and low boost pulley (3.5psi), the tires spin to top of first gear when I stomp on it. Easy burn out.

BTW inaccurate, I followed ur diet thread and removed a few things from my TL! What a informative thread!!!

As soon as I get back, we will change new spark plugs, installing tranny cooler, and make custom fuel lines to equalize the fuel going to both cylinder head. Currently Bank 1 gets about 5% more fuel then Bank 2.

After that, E-manage ultimate will go on along with the HBP. We will then find out if we would need bigger injectors. Also a even higher boost pulley might come, but might only be 1 to 2psi more at most.

You should go to the ALL CALI meet on the 30th of June. I'm driving from Texas to it (use to live in Cali and fly in all the time, cant get enough of it). I'd be more than pleased to see your 3.5L project in person. Maybe we can get a quick run in as well
