So... ever since I installed these deletes, my tires almost never squeal when I floor it. Its gotten much colder out too... shouldn't I be squealing more?? Or does this mean I need some back pressure in my exhaust?

the powerband has shifted, you now have massive top end, and your lowend has moved up in revs.. don't expect to peelout from a stand still in an auto anyway

I was having some trouble smoking the tires lately, but then after i filled them up with more air - 38, they've been smoking up a lot more.

Haha I'm not trying to be that dick that squeals his tires all the time on purpose.. but sometimes its nice knowing the tq is there.

Will try to remedy this with a HFC and an underdrive pulley

I hope the gains were worth it, cause from what i've heard it doesn't sound too great. I hate any rasp

^ My rasp is almost gone, after i switched out my jpipe to the RV6 one, rasp is very slight, and after i throw on a resonator, i think the exhaust is gonna sound very sexy.

Are you talking to me? Of course VSA was off! Haha

Where do I start? Haha look for Al's write up. He (Al) was talking all this trash... "I can do it under 3 hours" but he was using a lift. I think he did milkman's deletes WITHOUT a lift and was sore as fuck. Haha I too was sore as fuck after the install.

The gains are mostly top end. GREAT on the highway at WOT. I honestly think the deletes make the exhaust note deeper and throatier. Rasp comes into play in cold weather and when revving in N. I don't hear any rasp when I'm on the highway at WOT.

Oh it will.

My car? Shit man, all NBPs are sick!! Yeah my next 3 mods are: rear camber kit (which I ordered last Friday from Marcus and I don't think it has shipped yet ), R-V6 high flow cat and the UR crank pulley.

Side note: when people are tailing my ass on the road, I throw my car into N and rev it so they'll smell my fumes. HAHA 90% of the time, they'll switch lanes.

^ why shift into neutral I just down shift on them... ie. cruising in 5th... over to manual
down to 4th then 3rd and they def do switch lanes

others get aroused and want to race rofl

as for the install on the floor.... if you can somehow get the tires 3feet off the ground it will be very comfy.... i had milkman's car just over a foot I believe, it also sucks working ontop of a milkcrate to reach inside

with the lift you just lift and lower

Richie and I only had the tires about 6" off the ground

I was underneath the car and he was straddling my engine...

[QUOTE=jmkiang;10171998.......I'm definitely feeling a loss of low end torque now... [/QUOTE]

For this reason, I'm going to steer away from this mod. I had the same results in combo with greddy/RV6 j-pipe/RV6 test/Procats. But power was restored after putting the 3rd procat back on. Also I don't need anymore raspiness.

Jmkiang - Glad you are enjoying your set-up!

^ Well, there are some remedies... a high flow cat will help a tiny bit, a lighter crank pulley will help. I've briefly discussed with Richie ideas to remedy this using something in place of the 3rd cat/test pipe/race pipe location.

Throw in an aftermarket resonator! Or get a resonated exhaust and act like you mature adult you are.

Al your an animal lol

Did some work too, put the 3rd cat back on, no more rasp and a little deeper sound. Not feeling any loss of power, gas mileage is same. Everything lined up well, the hiss is still there and begins to drive me nuts.

Looks like Rich is working on it, hopefully finds a solution soon

I'm in the process of doing the same thing, but im used to listening to subarus and evos with headers and 4 inch turbo backs so my opinion of LOUD is a little different. I cant wait to make that 2.0 evo sound like a bi*#^.

Just wait and see if the CEL comes back. I'm 60+ miles since resetting the CEL and nothing yet

Anyway, opted not to throw the stock 3rd cat back on since its got studs on each flange. Would've probably had to remove the j pipe

BTW, WOT WOT WOT on the way back from Richie's. Man 2nd redline pulls hard as shit. Didn't have the balls the redline in 3rd... soo many cops on the highway. LOVE IT!

The CEL issues on the precats and the hissing with the Jpipe are making me rethink if these parts are worthwhile to get while keeping my car as reliable as I can..

Well the hissing on the j pipe doesn't affect reliability/safety. And its only happening on a small number of j pipes./

Do some research and see how many people running the deletes have permanent CELs... I don't think anyone does. And even when your CEL comes on, it doesn't mean your car is less reliable. I think you'll be happy with them.

Thanks for your input.. I pretty much read every single thread in the performance section.. LOL It just seems like many people are having issues with the new products.. I am well aware that this is very normal seeing how new they are. R&D is going on as we speak, and I think that as time goes on the kinks will work themselves out.

But it may be a little biased because im sure if your having problems then your more prone to posting your gripes, opposed to the other happy customers just enjoying their cars. I have been glued to all the threads about RV6 and check them multiple times during the day.. lol..

Just waiting to pull the trigger on these, or maybe Im thinking I should wait a little while until everything is figured out.

^ to be honest i think the hissing noise is due to the flanges not line'n up? every install stillhere has done has been good!

and alot of ppl seem to be running with no cel's

jst a hand full have had cel's but if you wanna wait then i say wait and see what happens

Depends on you as it is your money but again, Performance, reliability, and and/or safety is not sacrificed at all due to the hissing noise. I too have the hissing but I believe Richie will come up with a solution and if not, im sure it will work itself out. If neither, like i said, performance gains are there and you cant beat the price man. I'm still happy nonetheless as Richie still has a great product. my

As you can see richie's built up a positive gathering of aziners, how? Simply by being on aim at all hours of the day/night, and constantly replying to pm's left and right

The hissing sounds may or may not be the flexpipe, but hey, rest assured, richie will be ontop of it as many have pointed out and richie himself has stated

milk man, I think this (small) batch of J pipes has a different flex pipe portion than others, which is causing the hissing noise.

^ What are you referring to? My catback is resonated....

EDIT: Oh I'm a dumbass. Um, I had the test pipe before but my exhaust was too quiet. When I installed the deletes, I swap in the race pipe too. Soon I will be swapping in a high flow cat.
